The Secret of Power, Victory, and Blessing | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
The Secret of Power, Victory, and Blessing
Jonathan Cahn gives a powerful word about how you can find victory, power, and blessing in God. You are NOT a failure in God. How to find victory and power in all things – It’s even in His name.
“And America has done much good. And there’s no shortage of nations far exceeding any of its faults or sins. But no nation in the modern world has ever been given so much. None has been so blessed. To whom much is given, much is required. If a nation so blessed by God should turn away from Him, what then? It’s blessing will be replaced with curses? Yes. And has America turned away from God? I asked. It has turned and is turning. How? In the same way Israel turned. It started with a spiritual complacency, then spiritual confusion, then the merging of God with idols and then, ultimately, the rejection of his ways. Just as with ancient Israel, America began ruling God out of its life, turning, step by step, against His ways, at first subtly and then more and more brazenly.”
―Jonathan Cahn, The Harbinger:
They’re living in frustration. They’re living in ruin. They’re living in lack. Why?
Because the first key of victory is the children of Israel says, did what was evil in the sight of god.
They said, The greatest enemy of victory in god is not the devil, it’s sin.
You’ve said it before. It’s Jesus’ real name. Yeshoo.
What does it mean? What does Jesus mean? Yeshuhah means god is salvation.
In Hebrew, the word for salvation is basically that. Yeshuhah. But it
cut but it it it means something else, either Jeshua comes from a Hebrew root word.
The root word is the word yasha.
Try it.
Yasha means to save. It means so so yeshua means salvation, but it yasha also means something else.
So yeshua also means something else. And you know what else you know what it also means?
You know what his name means? Victory. Victory.
The name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus is the word victory.
The name comes from the word, not only salvation, from victory.
And that’s the name by which you’re saved.
So you’re not that you’re not just supposed to be saved by that name.
You’re supposed to have victory by that name.
That means if you are in yeshua, Jesus, you are not of defeat anymore.
It means god’s will for your life is not defeat.
It’s not failure, compromise, inconsistencies, up and down, discouragement, depression. It is not.
And it means you are if you are of yeshua, you are not of defeat. You can’t be
of him and of that at the same time.
You are not of If you’re of yeshua, Jesus, you’re not of failure. You can’t be both.
You’re not of your your god’s will for your life now is victory, and now you are of victory.
Everything that’s coming to your wife from him is of victory.
It means you’re not to be find by those other things you’re gonna be defined by victory by the name of Jesus, yes, hua.
In god. This is your heritage, your salvation, your identity, victory.
When you were born again, you were born again,
for victory. It’s your inheritance.
And if that’s your inheritance, it’s gotta be your identity.
And then you have to choose that this is what I’m
gonna be of because
there’s a lot of things in the world that will work against victory and will seek to discourage you You have to choose
what god said. I am a victory.
Yeah. And anything in your life that is not a victory, it’s of defeat.
That is not the new you. It’s the old you. It’s the old life. What it’s the old nature.
Whatever’s of defeat is not the new you. Disouragement is not the new you.
It’s not who you are in God now. You know, anxiety and fear. That’s not based on victory.
When you’re have victory, you’re not afraid, that’s not who you are in god now.
So you have to get into the identity of who god gave you to be.
To choose thoughts of victory and put away thoughts of defeat, belief in victory, and attitude of victory, habits of victory, practices of victory.
If you’re called by the name of Jesus, it’s
an it’s a high honor.
Then you have then you have to walk in what that means.
You have the blessing to have the power of victory, live
in it. And anything that is not, you have to put it away. Failure, fear, all that discouragement, gloom.
That’s not of god. It says when god comes, you know, and it hears the season of his of celebrating his birth, when in Isaiah, it says the land that was of gloom.
God came in and the light shut. He’s like, he’s anti gloom. Think about it.
Who is more victorious than he is? He didn’t just have victory over a person or over a nation.
He has victory over the grave. Over judgment, over death.
And that’s who you are in him. You are to live accordingly.
The power of the resurrection is the ultimate power
of victory of overcoming anything.
And it says you’re supposed
to be living by that because he gave you that power.
Now we’re gonna go to judges 6.
If you have your bibles, judges 6.
And the thing I was brought to or the 1 I was brought to is the person Gidion.
Judges 6, it describes the Israelites first. They’re being oppressed by
the midianites. For years, they’re hiding. They’re in they’re they’re losing everything.
They they their crops, everything they have is being in the way. Why?
Because that’s because they sinned, they turned away from god.
So now they’re living in fear. They’re living in they’re living in frustration. They’re living in ruin.
They’re living in lack. Why because the first key of victory is the children of Israel says did what
was evil in the sight of god. They sinned.
The greatest enemy of victory in god is not the devil. It’s sin.
Because the devil cannot stop you from being victorious. But sin can.
Outside of the will of god, there is no victory.
Inside the will of god, truly, there is no defeat. The angel came to Gidyan verse 11.
Then the angel of the lord came and sat under the oak tree that was in Ophra which belonged to Joash, the, Biza Wright, and to his son, as his son, his real name, say it,
That’s why we say Gidyan, but it’s really gidion. Gidyan was beating out weed in
the wine press in order to save it from the many nights And the angel of the lord appeared to him
and said to him, the lord is with you, valiant warrior.
What always strikes me about this is the angel and the greeting.
Gideon is living in fear.
He’s beating out weed in a wine press because he’s hiding it from the midianites.
He doesn’t want them to get it. He’s living in fear like the rest of them are.
But the angel greets him and says The lord is with you victorious, Valian warrior. Valian warrior.
As far as we know, Gideon had never been a warrior,
not to mention he wasn’t valued.
So as the angel, did the angel make a mistake, went to the wrong person? You know what happens?
Happens in
the world, but angels? Angel only speak the truth.
So how could this be true
when it’s not true? For Gidion. Gidion is not living a warrior, a valiant warrior. How could it
be true? Because god is not bound by time. Denian was not a valiant warrior
at the time. But he would become a valiant warrior in the days to come.
By answering the call by which he’s being addressed, by a name, by a title that’s not appropriate by receiving that, he becomes that.
So when god looks at you, He doesn’t just see who you are.
He knows that, but he sees who you will be.
He sees what he may who he made and what you will become.
By Gideon saying yes to a call that was over his head didn’t match his life.
He would become that person. And what exactly did the angels say? The angel didn’t speak English.
He spoke Hebrew. He calls him Guabor. Gabor.
Try it. Gabor. He says, hell, the lord is with you, Gabor.
Gabor means strong, powerful, mighty. It means warrior. It means champion.
You know how a little sign of this being the words, the lord’s word?
I prayed for a word for you.
At the end of the last service, I met a man who came here.
You know, I’ve I haven’t met him before.
He comes here for he he wears this big shirt and it says, It says champion.
Gabor means champion champion.
Like an Olympic like a champion, like a champion who wins a winner. That’s what it means.
Whails to you greetings to you. The lord is with you champion.
And then Gidi must be saying, you got this right? The lord is with you, winner.
It also means giant. The lord is
with you, giant of a man.
It means 1 who excels, 1 who is valiant, 1 who is victorious.
And it’s not just 1 word. The angel didn’t stop there.
The angel said, the lord is with you. He said,
Hayel means also valiant, strong, also virtuous. So it’s kinda like a doubling up.
It’s more intense. The angel is
saying to get in The lord is with you. Use you mighty strong person. You powerful warrior.
You mighty, mighty man. Snow accident. The angel’s making a point of this.
God is making a point of it. Getting is clearly not living this way.
And you could see it by his reaction. Look at his reaction. He says, I’m not gonna read.
I’m gonna paraphrase it. He says, really, this I’m
I’m power. Gidi has this really If the lord was with me and with us, then why has all this happened to us?
Where are all the miracles our fathers told us about? Where are they?
He says the lord has actually abandoned us.
He gave us into the hands of the many nights, and my family is the least of all the families of the tribe of Ephraim, of Manessa, and I’m the youngest.
I’m the least of my father’s house, which is the least in the tribe that we’re of.
Gidien is totally the other way. He’s saying, no, no, I’ll know you’re wrong, Angel.
I’m not a victorious warrior. I’m not strong, I’m not powerful, I’m not valiant.
I’m I’m I’m not only gonna have courage. I’m oppressed. We’re all oppressed. I’m nothing.
And I’m a victim.
They did this to me. They did this. And the law
you know how the lord answers that?
He says, go in this strength of yours and save Israel. Wow.
He’s like the Lord’s not even given him he’s not even given any any anything to him.
He says, I don’t get forget all that. He says, go in your strength of your strength.
Even that’s striking because you think it’s a strength of the lord.
Well, it is the strength of the lord. But it’s just your strength calling you victorious volume.
God not only looks at
you and sees who you are to become.
But he he he also calls you according not to who you are, according to who you will be.
