The Keys of Abraham’s Children
The Keys of Abraham’s Children

In the Song of Solomon, it’s written, “”The vines with tender grapes put forth their reyach”” (their fragrance). The word reyach is sometimes translated as “”sweet perfume.”” Reyach comes from “”Ruach”” – “”wind, breath or Spirit””. You see, the Ruach is the Spirit, and from the Spirit comes sweet fragrance. It’s written that we’re to manifest the sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirit – Ruach Ha Kodesh. There are perfumes in this world that cost a fortune, but better than all of them, is the Reyach of the Ruach, the perfume of the Spirit. When someone lives in the Spirit, there is a sweet fragrance about them. When they enter, there is a sweetness. When they leave, something lingers. There is an aroma of love, joy, peace and righteousness. Something beautiful about them fills up their life in every situation. Don’t get into perfumes to make yourself sweet, get into living in the Spirit. Live, love, walk and breathe in the Spirit and your life will become sweeter and sweeter, because the Reyach comes from the Ruach. The sweet fragrance of God comes from the Spirit of God.
Abraham also, what else?
He was called to be separate. Abraham wasn’t just called, he was called out. He was in her, called out.
We don’t know what it was like for his friends to say, what are you doing? Where are you going?
What’s going on? I’m leaving, I’m, I’m taking everything and I’m leaving. Where you going? I don’t know.
It’s a place that I don’t know but God called me. I heard his voice.
It’s God, he called him out.
So one thing you know about the Jewish people is they were separated by God, not because there’s anything better because he, he wanted chose to use them to bless all the rest of the world, but he separated them and he still, even in our generation, he brought them back to Israel from al nation.
Another separation, Israel is always separate no matter what, it doesn’t matter what it does, even if it tries not to be separate.
God keeps it separate. The world condemns Israel, the United Nations, condemns Israel more than every, any other nation on earth.
Not only that it condemns Israel more than all nations put together.
There’s something about it and that tells you something, the enemy hates Israel, it tells you there’s something about it so God doesn’t.
But what that means is now you who are born again, whether you’re Jewish by birth or not Jewish by birth, you are.
And that’s why, see, that’s why Paul keeps saying by birth by flesh because he’s saying if he says you who are gentile by flesh, he’s saying you’re not really gentile, that’s only the outside.
That’s not who you are. Who you are is a child of Abraham.
It’s just we have different colors and different ways of looking, but we’re Children of Abraham.
So it says you who are, who are born again?
You are now part of what the, what’s called the church. The church is not the best word for it.
We use it, but it’s not the best word, it means House of God.
That’s not what, that’s not what the biblical word means.
The biblical word is try it from the Hebrew word Kala. Ok.
Now means the called out ones, the the called out ones that the ones who are gathered together in this assembly, this gathering because they were called out.
So God calls you out as he called Abraham. What did he call you out of?
He calls you out of the old life. It’s not bad to have an old life.
You need an old life because in order to have a new life, you have to have an old life behind it.
So it’s, it’s not a bad thing to have a path, but he calls you to be separated from what you were, not everything because they’re a part of you that God created but to redeem.
But he calls you out of the world. Number one, when you got saved, there was a change.
If you followed God, there was a change.
You couldn’t hang out with the people you hung out with before, just like Abraham could, you couldn’t do things that you did before.
And if you never separated, then there’s a problem with you never gonna see the calling.
You have to get out in some way of what you were in some way.
God has a you that he redeems that you still, that you are, but he has things that you, you were something that you were not supposed to be.
And so God calls you out of that. He calls you out of the world.
You’re not of the world anymore. You’re in it, you’re not of it.
And he call and he calls you out of your own past. You’re not of your past anymore.
Abraham was not of his past. He wasn’t a babylonian pagan anymore. He was now a child of God.
God has called you. And so your calling is linked to your separation.
You know that God could not use the priest until he separated them.
He got separated Israel, then from Israel, he separated the tribe of Levi.
Then from Levi, he separated the priest, then from the priest, he separated the high priest.
Each one had a higher calling. So God, your calling is linked to your separation.
If you want to fulfill your calling, you have to separate from what is not of God.
Abraham was given a new name in Genesis. 17. Your name shall no longer be Abram.
It will be Abraham. Why? Well, Abram does mean father.
So in a sense, you know Abraham already, he was born with that name.
God already knew it, but he says you will be not just a father, you’ll be the father of the many, many, many many multitudes first name change in the Bible and 1st 1st famous person to have his name changed and it’s more important and he does it for Sarah too.
Sarah. Sarah shall be Sarah. She will be a princess.
Abraham has a new name from God and the new name means he has a new identity that change from God and that identity is linked to his future.
It’s not seen yet. It seems crazy. Doesn’t make sense. I’m gonna be the father of many. Yeah.
And so he even he had a hard time believing it, but that was his name.
So you child of God, you have a new name. Now, you may not know what that new name is.
We may find that out in heaven, but God has a new identity for you, you might have been the, the, the, the, the rejected one.
You are now the accepted one. You might have been the bitter one. Your name may mean sweet.
Now you may have been, you may have been the most defiled. Now you are holy.
You have a new name in one way. It’s a new identity and it’s linked to your future.
So it’s not always gonna match up with what’s happening.
Now, You might not even see the evidence, but it is, you believe it because that’s where you’re going.
Abraham had to choose to go with the new, not with the old.
He had to look ahead and most of his life, it didn’t or a lot of his life.
It didn’t look like what God said, who he was is ever gonna happen.
He went through years and years and years and Sarah kept getting older and he kept getting older.
It says he looked at his body. It was as good as dead.
You ever feel that you ever look at your body and say this is good as dead.
Well, that’s what he did. He sees he’s in his nineties now and he sees and, and there’s no child.
So that’s why Abraham was going by faith.
Not just because of the promised land, but because of himself and Sarah, he had to see himself through faith.
He had to see himself. He had to hold on to. What did God say? I am.
Who did God say? Because it doesn’t look like it.
And the same, if you’re a child of Abraham, you have to do the same thing because a lot of times it’s not gonna look like who God called you to be.
And even because at times you’re messing up too, but God is saying, hold, don’t go by, don’t be bound by the past in your record.
Be bound by the future. Be bound.
Who God said every day Abraham and say, I am Abraham, I am the father of the many.
And you ever have to say I am a child of God. I am holy in Him.
I am more than a conqueror in Him. I am an overcomer in Him. I am bound for triumph.
He will always lead me to victory in Him. And that’s what I’m gonna go with.
And if you’re not seeing it, it’s because you’re not going with it.
So you have to hold to what God said, hold to and you say, well, what did God say?
God spoke to Abraham and gave him that name. Yes.
Well, God spoke more to you than He did to Abraham.
You’ve got the whole word of God and this is to you hold to this, that’s Abraham and hold to the word of God.
Hold to this. And even when Abraham messed up and he did mess up, he messed up several times.
He had to reaffirm. Ok? I am called by God. I have the calling.
I am Abraham and I’m gonna go away from the old, I’m gonna hold to the new who God said, even if my own actions are going, I’m gonna hold to what God says until I become that person.
God gave you a new identity. It is, it is different from the old identity. It’s still you.
It’s even more you, but it’s not the old you. God calls you by that name every day.
Choose the new identity every day because the old is gonna crop up and the circumstances are not gonna agree with it any more than it agree with Abraham.
But God’s but he had to go against what he saw with his eyes and went with what he saw by faith, Abraham Abraham, even though he saw his body as good as dead.
He says he, he, he didn’t go by that. He didn’t go by himself.
He went by God called him same with you and take actions consistent with your new identity to find out how you can receive more of Jonathan’s teachings to receive special free gifts or get in touch.
