Friend, we live in a time when families have lost their foundations, pastors have lost their principles, and government has pushed God aside. And we wonder why our nation is in such deep trouble. The truth is, America is facing a crisis of vanishing values.

The Bible warns us of times like these. In Judges 17:6 we read, “In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.” That’s exactly where we are today—each person deciding their own truth, with no higher authority to guide them.

Even secular voices are sounding the alarm. A national magazine recently wrote that three out of four Americans believe we are in moral and spiritual decline, and two out of three think the country is on the wrong track. We see it everywhere—crime, broken families, the loss of respect for authority, and a culture that celebrates instant gratification while scorning the values that once made us strong: hard work, self-discipline, and commitment. Our young people are being deprived of the love, stability, and moral grounding that only strong families can give.

The story of Micah in Judges 17 paints a sobering picture. Here was a man who stole silver from his mother, returned it out of fear—not conviction—and then used it to make an idol. His family thought they were honoring God, but in truth they were steeped in moral confusion. They blended a show of religion with outright idolatry. That’s where America is today—not lacking religion, but drowning in it without truth, without biblical morality.

We’ve mistaken liberation for freedom. Women have been told to abandon home and children, fathers have walked away from responsibility, and children have been raised without limits or rules. The result? Rampant immorality, broken homes, and a generation of unloved, undisciplined, and unprepared young people.

But the problem doesn’t stop at home—it’s also in the pulpits. Judges 17 tells us of a Levite, a man called to serve God, who sold his calling for a paycheck. He became a “priest” to an idolater because it offered food, clothing, and silver. Jesus warned about hirelings—shepherds who care more about profit than people, who tell the crowds what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear.

If America is to be restored, we need a revival of truth. We need pastors who will stand in their pulpits, not seeking applause, but boldly declaring the Word of God with the fire of the Holy Spirit. We need families that honor God’s Word as the foundation of their homes. And we need a people who are willing to turn from doing what is “right in their own eyes” to doing what is right in God’s eyes.

Our nation’s hope is not in politics, programs, or personalities—it’s in a return to faith, family, and the authority of God’s Word. Only then can the glory be brought back to America.

If you want, I can also create a shorter, more emotionally-charged YouTube description for this so it’s SEO-optimized and hooks viewers right away. That would make it ready for publishing. Would you like me to do that next?
