We may strive to control every aspect of our lives, but surrendering control to God brings peace, clarity, and direction to our lives. When we surrender our hearts to God, we open ourselves up to the transformative power of his love. We allow ourselves to be shaped and molded by the Creator who knows us better than anyone else. Trusting God instead of trying to control everything is liberating and empowering.
Surrendering to God also allows us to experience the fullness of his glory. When we trust God to guide our steps, we can see him at work in our lives in a way that would not be possible if we were in control. Every event and circumstance becomes an avenue to know God better and to see his glory displayed in our lives.
In addition, surrendering control to God helps us to understand his character better. Trusting him to guide our lives helps us to see the fruits of that trust in the way he cares for us, provides for us and guides us through difficult times. The more we surrender to God, the more we understand his goodness and grace.
