The revelation you’re about to receive will help you to experience the righteousness, the peace and the joy of the Holy Spirit.
That’s what the Holy Spirit wants to give to every single believer. In fact, that’s what every believer has.
Every believer by the Holy Spirit has righteousness, peace and joy.
So how do we experience that which the Holy Spirit has given to us?
How do we see the manifestation of these wonderful realities in our everyday life?
What do we do when we struggle in righteousness? What do we do when we lack peace?
What do we do when we lack joy in our everyday lives?
The Holy Spirit wants to help you if you’re ready, I want you to type in the comment section right now.
I’m ready to receive type that in the comments, whether you’re watching live or on the replay.
We’re gonna read a portion of scripture here. A considerable, a considerable portion of scripture.
Romans chapter 14, I’m gonna read verses one through 19, accept other believers who are weak in faith and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything.
But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.
So here we’re balancing these ideas of liberality and legalism. Two extremes that sometimes we can go into.
Some believers are so liberal in their faith that they kind of just allow compromise and they don’t acknowledge it as compromise.
Others are so legalistic that they choke out the joy and the love and the peace that comes from living in the spirit.
So here Paul, the Apostle is dress addressing both extremes.
Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t and those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do for God has accepted them.
And of course, we all agree and the Bible is clear that sin is sin.
But this is addressing a certain mindset verse four.
Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants, their own master will judge whether they stand or fall and with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval in the same way.
Some think one day is more holy than another day. But others think every day is alike.
You should each be fully convinced that whichever day you choose is acceptable.
Those who worship the Lord on a special day, do it to honor Him.
Those who eat any kind of food, do so to honor the Lord since they give thanks to God before eating and those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.
But we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves. If we live, it’s to honor the Lord.
And if we die, it’s to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
So the scripture here is addressing this idea of being unified, of not criticizing one another over these things that aren’t necessarily of utmost importance.
Now, of course, and let me clarify this.
There are certain things that the scripture condemns as certainly sinful and that’s not what’s being addressed here.
Again, there are mindsets being addressed and the threads will be tied together in just a moment.
Verse nine Christ died and rose again for this very purpose to be both Lord of the living and of the dead.
So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer?
Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
For the scripture say as surely as I live says, the Lord, every knee will bend to me and every tongue will declare allegiance to God.
Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
So let’s stop condemning each other, decide instead to live in such a way that will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
So there we see liberalism addressed because you can’t just live any way that you want that eventually invites compromise nor should you live in a way that causes your brother or sister to stumble.
But on the other end, neither should you be condemning of other believers just because they don’t necessarily think and believe in the exact same way that you do verse 13 again.
So let’s stop condemning each other.
Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.
I know and I’m convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ that no food in and of itself is wrong to eat.
But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person, it is wrong.
And if another believer is distressed by what you eat, you are not acting in love.
If you eat it, don’t let your eating ruin someone for whom Christ died, then you will not be criticized for doing something you believe is good.
Now, verse one gives us a clue as to what exactly is being addressed in here.
It says accept other believers who are weak in faith.
So those who are weak in faith may be very condemning of other believers because they don’t necessarily understand the liberties that they have in Christ.
On the other hand, those who understand their liberties in Christ sometimes might push that to a compromising extreme and even to a point where they’re causing other believers to stumble again, this is not saying that there are any sins that should be accepted, but rather this is addressing two extremes of a certain mindset.
Now, verse 16, here ties it together or verse 17, excuse me, for the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness or righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Verse 18, if you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God and others will approve of you too.
So then let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.
So there is some grace for these non essential areas where we have some debates.
Now, many Christians get caught up. They become entangled in debates over doctrines on superficial ideas.
Case in point what’s being addressed here, what you eat, what you drink, what day you worship the Lord.
These are superficial areas and someone who’s weak in faith may be all riled up by these debates and those who are strong in faith can sometimes be inconsiderate of those who are weak in faith.
So again, we have the balance to make sure we’re not landing on liberalism in terms of the spiritual sense.
Nor should we land on legalism, which is to try to earn your salvation by your own works.
But we find this law of love which centers us and the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink.
But what of living a life of righteousness, peace and joy. In the Holy Spirit. Watch this.
Now, if you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God and others will approve of you too.
So then let us aim for harmony in the church and try to build each other up.
This is the simplicity of living in the Holy Spirit.
This is what the Holy Spirit decides that He wants to give to you.
This is what the Holy Spirit has chosen to gift to you righteousness, peace and joy in Him.
Not necessarily from anything else, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
That means our righteousness is grounded in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our joy is grounded in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our peace is grounded in the power of the Holy Spirit. We can’t gain righteousness from our own ability alone.
Of course, you should exercise discipline. Of course, you should exercise willpower.
Of course, you should make attempts at accountability and ensuring that you’re staying as far away from temptation as possible.
But all of our human efforts alone couldn’t accomplish righteousness, all of our exhaustion, all of our efforts of emotion and our mental efforts and our practical efforts cannot in and of themselves amount to righteousness.
Let me show you a few portions of scripture here.
First Peter 12 God, the father knew you and chose you long ago and His spirit has made you holy.
He is the Holiness Spirit. As a result you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
May God give you more and more grace and peace, Philippians 16.
And I am certain that God who began the good work within you will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ returns.
Well, how does he complete this work? How does this work remain ongoing? It’s by the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is in charge of your righteousness. Thank God for that.
Because if we were in charge of our own righteousness, we would mess it up. Ezekiel 36 26 and 27.
And I will give you a new heart. Watch this now and I will put a new spirit in you.
I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender responsive heart and I will put my spirit in you so that you will follow my decrease.
Watch the wording here. I will put my spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulation.
You can’t follow his decrees without having the Holy Spirit in you.
You can try and I’m sure there are some good things that you can accomplish.
But without the Holy Spirit, you cannot have the righteousness of God in Christ.
Without the Holy Spirit working on you, you cannot be under the process of sanctification.
So the righteousness comes from the Holy Spirit. He purifies you. How do we experience this righteousness?
Because on one hand, we know that the Holy Spirit has given to us righteousness.
Yet on the other hand, we don’t always see that played out in our everyday lives.
Do we very often? You might look at what the scripture says you should be experiencing what the life of the believer should look like.
And then you might in frustration, compare the results that you’re getting in your everyday life with what you see in scripture.
And you might ask yourself, why don’t I see what I see in scripture, manifesting as a reality in my everyday life.
And by manifesting, I just mean, becoming a parent or showing signs.
Well, it’s because we are not surrendering to the Holy Spirit.
You say, how can I not be surrendered to the Holy Spirit when I really, really want righteousness?
Well, this has to do with trusting and obeying not just in our actions, but also in the way we think if there is a lack of righteousness in your life, hear me now, please, if there’s a lack of righteousness in your life, it’s because there’s a lack of truth or there’s a lack of obedience, or there may be a disorder in your thinking, the way you’re thinking is not aligning with scripture.
Any one of those things can produce unrighteousness.
So, if we want the righteousness that comes from God, we have to surrender to the Holy Spirit, why he’s the one purifying you.
He’s the one sanctifying you. He’s the one accomplishing that work. And again, you can thank God for that.
Say that in the comment section. Thank you. Holy Spirit.
Aren’t you thankful that He sanctifies you keeps you righteous, aren’t you thankful that He is the holiness spirit?
The one who causes us to be more like Jesus day by day, moment by moment as we surrender to him, you surrender, you, trust you obey.
He’ll do the rest. Yes, you might be frustrated, but he’ll complete the work. Yes.
You might see certain habits that are difficult for you to break, but he’ll complete the work.
Yes, you might see yourself repeating cycles of sin that you just want to be rid of.
But he’ll complete the work if you’ll just trust and obey many believers are fretting.
They’re worried because they’re not seeing what they want to see in their everyday life in terms of the righteousness.
Now, to be clear, we ought to live holy. Yes.
The life of the believers should be one of holiness without holiness. No one shall see the Lord.
But the Holy Spirit on the other hand, is not going to abandon you to yourself.
He’s not going to leave you in your own compromise. He’s going to work with you.
He’s gonna work side by side with you, making sure you get this right. He’s going to complete the work.
It ultimately does not rest on you.
It requires your cooperation, but it’s ultimately a work of the Holy Spirit.
So you may not see it becoming a reality as quickly as you’d like to see it become a reality.
But as long as you are making progress, that means you are under the process of perfection, sanctification is a process and all of us have things in our lives.
All of us have things in our character that we want the Holy Spirit to change and he’s working on it.
How do you see that you just live in the Kingdom? What’s the kingdom?
Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, you abide in the spirit, you trust in the spirit, you surrender to the spirit and in abiding in that way, you will see, see the fruitfulness begin to develop in your life.
In terms of your spirituality, you will begin to see the character and the nature of Christ become apparent in your own mannerisms in the way you talk in the way you think and the way you treat other people in your battle for holiness, these things will become apparent.
But if you’re so wrapped up in yourself, so frustrated, you begin to focus, then on your own efforts, you begin to focus then on what people think of you, you begin to focus on the exterior and then you begin to fall into one of these extremes.
Because the moment you begin to look at yourself, you either give up because you feel like you’re not going to be able to make any progress anyway and you become just liberal with everything compromising.
Oh, what’s the use? I’m not gonna do any anyway.
Or you fall under the power of legalistic thinking and that legalism causes you to live in fear and paranoia constantly wondering if you’ve lost your salvation.
Constantly wondering if God’s finally done with you.
Constantly wondering if the Holy Spirit has finally had it with you and is now abandoning you to yourself.
No, not liberalism or legalism. It’s love, it’s the Kingdom, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
So then if I live in the Spirit by obedience and trust and trust really is very difficult and so is obedience.
They’re simple, but they’re not always easy to do.
You begin to live in that way and then you begin to see the fruit of it manifest, but you have to stop fretting, you have to stop worrying, which leads me to my next point.
It’s peace. How can you have peace with God?
Like really think about this knowing that God is righteous and holy, knowing that He is glorious, beyond comprehension, knowing that He is pure light, knowing that God is love, knowing that God is holy, that God is righteous, that God is just knowing these things about Him.
You might become concerned and and it’s good that we have a healthy reverence for God, of course, and we should have a fear of grieving the Holy Spirit by the way we live.
Yes. But the reality is that, that peace comes from knowing that you can rest in the finished work of the cross.
Now again, lest anybody misunderstand me, I have to drive this point home. You ought to live righteously.
And yes, you do bear responsibility for the decisions that you make.
And yes, you must cooperate with the sanctification process. That is the work of the Holy Spirit.
But once you begin to rest in faith in trust in the finished work of the cross that brings peace.
Why? Because perfect love casts out all fear. If you’re afraid, it’s because you’re afraid of punishment.
And that punishment that you fear is precisely because you don’t recognize that Christ absorbed that punishment on the cross.
What should we say then? Should we just go on sinning, living in compromise?
However, we wish no, and there are still consequences that we can face here on this side of eternity and on the other side of eternity, if we don’t get rid of that compromise in our lives, but when it comes to being able to trust in the finished work of the cross, we find peace because we recognize that Jesus said it is finished.
So then we do good works not to be saved.
We do good works as a response to having been saved. Thank you God for saving me.
Therefore, I will live holy as my reasonable service, my act of worship becoming a living sacrifice, glorifying you.
Thank you for saving me. And there’s the peace.
We know that even in our frailty, even in our imperfections, that there’s peace with God. Why?
Because of the work of the cross? Because of the shedding of the blood of Jesus.
And once you begin to trust in that truth, the confidence in your salvation did you know that that’s what the helmet of salvation is.
It’s the confidence in your salvation. Once you have that confidence, you’re flooded with the peace of God.
Again, not to excuse compromise, not to excuse sin, but to have the peace.
That’s necessary to walk in fellowship with God undisturbed, that you might see righteousness begin to gain more influence in your life.
And so I have righteousness because of what Christ did. That righteousness was imputed to me.
I’m righteous by faith, faith in what what Jesus did.
So the righteousness now is the purification of the Holy Spirit. OK.
And that purification that righteousness in your life begins to produce peace. Do you know why Christians lack peace?
It’s because they’re not cooperating with the sanctifying process that the Holy Spirit wants to put them under.
And so when you live in compromise, when you live in sin and true believers desire to be free from sin, did you hear what I said?
True believers desire to be free from sin, not to be excused in their sin.
Everybody want, everybody wants to be excused from their sin.
Everybody wants to be excused from the consequence of sin.
But only true believers desire to be free from sin, not just the consequence of sin.
So as believers, we have this desire to be free from sin. But there are areas in your life.
Maybe where there’s compromise, maybe you’re still working through some habits or maybe you’re dealing with certain addictions and habits that you formed, that even begun to affect you physiologically.
And now there are cravings that are very strong and you’re working through those and you’re getting frustrated with yourself and saying, Lord, help me, look, first of all, there’s help for you and the Holy Spirit is not going to abandon you to fight that alone.
He’s gonna abide with you and help you to get it right. Of course, he’ll abide to do that.
This is very different than someone just saying, oh, I just want to sin all day and thank you God for the grace and I’m gonna continue in sin.
It’s not what we’re talking about.
But here now we see that the righteousness or lack thereof begins to affect your peace of mind. Why?
Because guilt does not allow you to rest in the peace of the finished work of the cross.
A guilty conscience cannot, a guilty conscience cannot take full advantage of the peace of God.
Let me say that again. A guilty conscience cannot take full advantage of the peace of God.
Has God given you peace? Yes. Does the Holy Spirit give you peace? Yes.
Is the Holy Spirit dwelling in you? Yes.
However, compromise will lead to these moments now where you experience the sting of the conscience, the guilt, the shame, the doubt.
Well, that’s where it comes from guilt, shame and doubt are rooted in compromise.
Why do you feel guilty because of the compromise?
Why do you feel shame because of how you think God perceives you now? Because of the compromise?
These things disrupt, compromise disrupts our peace.
And so that guilt, that shame, that doubt is rooted in the compromise. Why do you doubt?
Well, because you compromise. Now, you think surely I’m disqualified from receiving the goodness of God.
Surely, God doesn’t abide with me anymore. Surely, God has rejected me. Surely I’m a lost cause.
Compromise leads to doubt. You begin to doubt that finished work.
And so without righteousness, it’s very difficult to have peace.
This is why I believe righteousness was listed first, righteousness first and then righteousness to begin to experience that.
Now, as you begin to increase righteousness watch this now as righteousness begins to gain influence in your life.
Now, peace begins to in begins to gain influence.
As righteousness increases, peace increases, your peace of mind is directly proportionate to your righteousness in life.
The more righteous you begin to live, the more peace filled your mind becomes, yes, he’s already given you these things.
But to experience these things requires our cooperation, so righteousness, then peace and then what comes next?
Joy, all that peace. What is that like peace? You, you’re almost living in this.
And I know this phrase. So so please hear my explanation.
I’m gonna say something but allow me to explain it because I know this phrase I’m about to use comes with negative connotations.
So when, when, when someone is said to be living in a bubble, usually people equate the phrase living in a bubble with ignorance or naivete, right?
So I’m not talking about being naive. I’m not talking about being ignorant.
I’m not talking about being disconnected from reality.
But I do believe that when you live in the peace of God, it’s like living in your own bubble of his presence.
I love that. It’s, it’s the bubble of his presence. He’s, he’s my high tower. He’s my refuge.
He’s my strength. I live under the shadow of his wing.
Now when I live in that righteousness, peace begins to overtake me and I begin to walk protected.
Yes, I may experience things that hurt me. Yes, I may face trials and tragedies, upsets, disappointments.
My expectations aren’t met. Changes in plans. These things happen all the time.
Great loss, maybe you lost finance, maybe you lost a loved one, maybe you lost a career, maybe you lost a passion or a desire, whatever it may be.
We all experience trials and tragedies and we mustn’t please hear me now.
We mustn’t mistake trials and tragedies for spiritual defeat.
Often I hear believers say things like, oh over 20 years the devil has just been attacking me.
I’ve been under his power and really they’re just describing life, bad things happen in life.
That doesn’t mean you’re under the power of the enemy. Always.
Sometimes it can be an attack but that’s not always what it means.
Uh People say, you know, 20 years, I’ve had nothing but heartache. OK?
20 years, you’ve had nothing but heartache or for 20 years, you focused on nothing but heartache.
You see the difference there. So when you live in the peace of God, it, it’s like this bubble that comes over you.
And yes, you, you do sense emotion. I’m not again, I’m not talking about being disconnected from reality.
Yes, you do feel the emotion, the pain. I myself, my wife and I recent tragedies. I don’t publicize everything.
We’re very private with our lives and we, we’ve experienced heartache recently, but I live in this peace of God where I know that I can walk with undisturbed peace of mind where his presence is near to me.
I’m aware of that spirit empowering me and I can walk through it. Not without feeling emotions.
Of course, I feel emotions. Of course, I have uh things and thoughts that II I battle through.
But, but really when we walk with the Lord, we are strengthened internally.
And that’s what I mean, when I say we walk in this bubble of his presence, this piece just carrying that atmosphere.
You, you don’t have to go find an atmosphere.
You are an atmosphere and you walk in that peace trials come. Ok. Yeah, that trial hurt. Yes. That’s painful.
Yes, it’s unwanted. Yes. I wish things were different. But you know what I have peace. Why?
Because righteousness leads to peace. Peace, which is the point I’m on now leads to joy.
Well, if you’re living in that, the constant peace of God, despite the trials and the tribulations, yes, you feel the heartache but I’m at peace.
What does that bring down joy? Why? Because no matter what I’m going through, I’m aware of the presence.
Be content with such things as ye have or he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.
Hebrews 13 5. I’m content. Why? Because I have his presence. So, so here’s the thing.
Not a lot of believers realize many Christians think that when they make a mistake, the Holy Spirit leaves them.
That’s not what happens. Rather, when you make a mistake, you become less aware of his presence, you become less likely to believe that he’s with you because right, the enemy of course, is gonna use your mistake to endorse his lies.
Well, you made that mistake. That’s what the enemy says. You made the mistake.
Surely he’s left you now and you believe that. So what do you lose?
You lose your peace when you live in compromise, you’re giving the enemy ammo to attack you with, when you live in compromise, you are, you are living in such a way that will cause you to feel according to the lies of the enemy instead of according to the truth.
So when you compromise, when you make a mistake, it’s not that the Lord leaves you.
It’s that you become less aware of his presence because now you feel you’re less deserving when all of us or none of us, I should say deserve his presence in the first place.
It was always dependent upon what he did on the cross.
And again, this shouldn’t inspire compromise and it won’t inspire compromise in the true believer.
Instead, it will cause them to be confident in their salvation and realize, wait a minute, I am born again.
I do walk with God. The Holy Spirit does abide with me. Therefore, I can do this.
I can walk righteously. I can live in such a way as God has called me to live.
And now I walk in that righteousness, watch this.
Now that righteousness clears my mind of guilt and shame and doubt.
So now I believe what the word of God says. Now I’m walking in peace.
That peace puts me in this protective bubble again, not being naive, not being ignorant, not being disconnected from the world not denying reality, not being disconnected from emotions, but rather living in the peace, despite what goes wrong.
And because I live in that piece of his presence, now, joy begins to overflow.
Joy is produced in my life because I’m living according to the spirit.
Well, remember what the psalmist wrote when he was lamenting the fact that he had sinned and he tells the Lord your hand weighed heavily upon me.
Now, let me rejoice. Did he not also pray restore unto me the joy of thy salvation?
Why did he pray that he didn’t lose the salvation? Rather? What happened is he lost the joy? Why?
Because he was living under the guilt and the condemnation and the shame of the doubt that was brought on by the sin.
Now again, and I’m gonna say this now for like the fifth or sixth time.
But I have to because I have a responsibility as a minister of the word to be very clear as to not lead people astray.
If you desire to compromise. I’m doubting whether you really met the Lord in the first place.
Now, true believers do struggle. They’re working through the issues of the flesh, of course, and you will make mistakes and there will be imperfections in your character and your personality that need to be more Christ like we accept that.
But but but you have to recognize that we have to walk in confidence because that confidence actually produces more righteousness.
It’s when you begin to live in guilt and shame and doubt that righteousness begins to wane in your life.
So we live in the confidence of that salvation. We live in the righteousness which is grounded in truth.
As you read Ephesians six, you’ll see that the belt of truth holds in place, the breastplate of righteousness, righteous, held in place in truth.
You cannot live in righteousness unless you’re walking in truth, You have to believe the truth first and then righteousness will follow.
I pray the whole say Holy Spirit help me receive this revelation.
So I walk in the truth by the Holy Spirit.
And because I walk in the truth by the Holy Spirit, now I begin to live in a way that cooperates with the work of the Holy Spirit.
And he produces the righteousness and as he produces the righteousness in me, and I surrender to that process.
Now I become filled with, with, with AAA peace as opposed to a guilt and a shame and a fear of punishment.
Now, ultimately, I know I have the presence of God.
And so that produces this, this stillness, this approach to life of I can handle anything no matter what comes my way.
As long as I have that presence like Moses, remember when Moses prayed, he said, Lord, if you don’t go with us, if your presence doesn’t go with us, I don’t wanna go.
And that’s, that’s how you live, right So now you’re walking, the presence of God is with you.
You sense his nearness. He never leaves you. That was the point I was making just a moment ago.
It doesn’t leave you. But your belief in His nearness is affected when you compromise, it’s very hard to believe that God is near to you when you’re living in compromise because of what you feel.
And so now when you begin to live in righteousness, which is what believers ought to do.
All true believers desire to live righteously and are cooperating with the Holy Spirit in the process of sanctification.
Now, I live righteously. Peace fills my heart.
And when peace fills my heart, now, the joy, the joy of salvation begins to fill me again.
So you’re lacking that joy somewhere along the line.
There may be some compromise or there may be a doubt in what God has accomplished.
You may be leaning on your own understanding and again, or your own efforts.
Again, in Romans 14, we see two things being addressed this liberal attitude. I’m gonna live as I want.
Who cares how it affects other believers? No, no, that’s liberalism.
And again, Paul is not saying they ought to be allowed to sin.
He’s just saying you gotta be considerate of your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
And then the, the one who is weak in conscience is, is legalistic, everything is a sin.
Everything is something that will send me to hell. Right. They get stuck in that place constantly questioning their salvation.
They gotta be set free from that too.
But you notice that the answer here, the answer for the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Now, when your joy is based in his presence, that’s everlasting. Why?
Because his love is everlasting because his acceptance is everlasting. His goodness is everlasting.
You see, there’s a cliche that’s often used and I don’t think it’s necessarily true.
You’ve heard it said that the world has happiness, but the believer has joy, right?
The unbeliever, they have happiness all but the believer has joy.
But do you know that joy and happiness are synonymous?
The difference between the joy and happiness that the believer experiences and the joy and happiness that the unbeliever experiences is the source of that joy and happiness, unbelievers know joy, talk to them.
They have joy in their marriage, they have joy in their Children, they have joy in their accomplishments.
So the unbeliever certainly does have joy and happiness. We acknowledge this.
But because their joy is rooted in things that can be taken away, is rooted in things that can be lost, is rooted in things that don’t last.
Their joy goes up and down you and I place our joy or receive our joy.
I should say you and I receive our joy from that which is eternal, the presence of the Holy Spirit abiding with us.
And because we receive righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, that is an eternal river, an eternal life, giving river that cannot be taken away, take away the money, take away your loved ones, take away what life gives to you in this world.
And you can have joy. Why?
Because of the peace of God, the presence of God, the righteous of God, that’s yours in Christ.
And when believers begin to live this way, here’s what happens.
Verse 18, if you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God and others will approve of you too.
Now, of course, here, this is talking about living in that balance and that unity.
But to get there, to get there, you have to live in righteousness, peace and joy.
This right here, somewhat summarizes some of the most important basics of Christianity.
And many believers don’t have this foundational truth of righteousness, peace and joy.
So they go basing their joy and their peace, they go basing their faith on what’s happening around them.
Well, God hasn’t done this for me or how come God hasn’t answered that prayer? Why am I always suffering?
Why has it been 2030 years? It’s not been 2030 years.
If you living under the power of the enemy, it’s not been 2030 years.
If you’re living under a curse, it’s not been 2030 years of God abandoning you.
It’s been 20 or 30 years of the wrong mindset where you look at trials as a sign that God has abandoned you instead of tests that can refine you, where you look at the exterior in circumstances and what’s happening in the world around you.
You look at that as the source of peace and joy. Of course, you’re gonna be shaken.
Of course, you’re going to live in a way that you feel like you’re defeated.
But when you live in the righteousness, peace and the joy in the Holy Spirit, that’s the kingdom of God established in your heart.
That’s the influence, the kingdom, the king’s Dominion, his sphere of influence in your life comes through righteousness, peace and joy.
How do you receive that surrender? Why? Because it’s in the Holy Spirit.
So father, I pray he would help your people to be aware, help them to acknowledge the nearness of the person of the Holy Spirit.
I pray father that she would restore unto them, the awareness of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit in their lives.
Just lift your hands right now.
Receive father, give them victory in this area, open their eyes, cause them to see as you see and precious Holy Spirit overwhelmed them.
Now let them sense your nearness.
I pray your power and your presence, touch their lives in a fresh way.
The mighty name of Jesus. We pray and I want you to say it.
If you believe it, type it in the comment section, say amen.
Well, if you enjoyed this message and you think others would benefit from hearing this, make sure you leave a like on the video.

If we as believers hear me now, I understand that there might be other things for you to click on.
And usually it’s customary that toward the end of the lesson, we say, OK, I received what I needed to receive and now I’m going to apply it and I’m excited for you.
I’m glad you received that truth.
But will you give me just a minute or two to invite you to be a part of what God is doing through this ministry?
Souls matter.
And if we don’t preach the gospel, who will the Gospel is free freely?
We receive so freely, we give these teachings free the events we do around the world.
Free, our online school free. We don’t charge for any of it. Why?
Because the gospel should be free, the word should be free. So how do we sustain this great work.
Well, it’s by the grace of God, it’s his favor, his doing.
But the way that the, the New Testament church functions God’s intended system or structure for ministry in the New Testament sense is that believers would be moved and that they would give out of generosity, they would give out of a place of cheerfulness, they would give out of selflessness.
Why? To help resource, the efforts that spread the gospel?
The gospel is free, but the means to deliver the gospel on a mass scale that takes resources.
And so I wanna ask you to write.
Now, hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, ask him what you should do to support this great work.
Ask them how you should get involved in helping us to spread the gospel.
I’m asking you join the thousands of supporters that we have around the world in supporting this great work.
