Jack Hibbs : Getting Real With God And Man
Walking Honestly with God: Living a Grounded Faith
In a world full of distractions and uncertainty, one truth remains unshakable: God’s Word is the only true guide we have. As we open our Bibles and prepare our hearts, let us not just read Scripture, but let it shape the very core of our lives. Take your pen, your notebook—let your thoughts and reflections become a personal conversation with God.
God calls us to live authentically—not just before Him, but in our relationships with others. Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. He desires a personal, transformative relationship with each of us.
From the earliest prophecies, God made His love and salvation clear. Genesis 3:15 tells us of the One who would crush the head of Satan, a divine promise fulfilled in Jesus Christ. He suffered rejection and bore the weight of our sin, demonstrating a love that surpasses understanding. Even when humanity fails, even when we feel unloved, God remains steadfast—His love never wavers.
Consider how personal God is in Scripture. Noah found grace in His sight. Abraham, called out of paganism, followed without knowing the destination. Moses longed to see God’s glory, and God revealed Himself in ways that even mere mortals could endure. David, a man after God’s own heart, expressed a desire to dwell in God’s presence all his life. Daniel, taken captive as a young teen, remained faithful because God revealed Himself personally to him. And Malachi reminds us that God not only hears us but records our faithfulness in His book of remembrance.
Faith, to be real, must be grounded. A mature, grounded faith can withstand criticism, attack, and doubt. Romans 1:16-17 reminds us that the gospel is the power of God to salvation, and Habakkuk 2:4 declares that the righteous live by faith. This faith is not theoretical; it is practical. It transforms how we live, how we love, and how we respond to the world.
We are invited to walk personally with God, to pursue Him for who He is. He wants to be known, not as a distant force, but as a living, present God. Our faith is strengthened when we see His faithfulness in our lives and in Scripture, and when we open our hearts to receive and support others who are weak in their faith, we reflect the love of God in a tangible way.
As we navigate life’s challenges, let us remember: God’s presence is personal, His call is intimate, and His promise is unwavering. Live with a faith that is grounded, mature, and active. Let your heart rejoice in His presence daily. Let the world see in you the evidence of a life surrendered to God, ready to love, forgive, and stand firm in His truth.
Walk honestly with God, and your life will become a reflection of His glory—personal, powerful, and transformative.
