When Prophecy Confronts the Headlines: A Pastor’s Wake-Up Call on Israel, Darkness, and God’s Unshakable Plan

Will there ever be a true dawn of peace in the Middle East? Many say yes—but the reality unfolding on the ground says otherwise. While the world talks about peace agreements, missiles continue to fall on Israel, and unimaginable violence is happening behind the scenes. Most people won’t hear about it. Most won’t take the time to examine what’s actually written in these peace proposals. But if you do, you quickly realize something sobering: Israel stands to lose far more than it gains. Those who hate Israel celebrate these deals—because they understand what’s at stake.

But the deeper issue is bigger than politics. It is biblical. And until you see it through the Word of God, nothing will make sense.

The Bible makes an unshakeable declaration: Israel will remain, no matter what the world says, no matter what nations do, and no matter how many enemies rise against it. God has a plan, and He will fulfill it. Only when Christ returns will there be true peace. Until then, every human treaty will fail.

I hesitate today only because the weight of God’s Word is so much greater than my ability to communicate it. My humanity is weak—but His Word is perfect. And in days like these, we need His Word more than ever. Since the last time we gathered, the world has shifted again. Headlines are changing. Tensions are rising. And you need to see what Scripture actually says about the times we’re living in.

Do not let people with no Scripture in their hearts tell you how to interpret this moment. You have the Bible—the living Word of God—and you’re in the house of God, where it is taught from Genesis to Revelation. Life has been designed this way: every question, every crisis, every global shaking—God already spoke about it. Our job is to search the Scriptures and see.

Hundreds have recently come to Christ because God’s Word is opened here without apology. So today, take notes, lean in, and prepare your heart. We’re stepping into a message shaped by the current events in the Middle East—but grounded in God’s unchanging truth.

Isaiah declares that God is the One who reveals new things before they happen. He alone is God. He alone knows the future. And He alone declares it in advance so that when it happens, we will remember that He said it. Jesus Himself affirmed this: “I tell you before it comes to pass, so that when it does, you will believe.” God “flexes,” not by force, but by prophecy—by proving that He alone knows the end from the beginning.

And Jesus didn’t only warn us; He comforted us. “In this world you will have trouble,” He said, “but take heart—I have overcome the world.”

That truth is why we can face controversial days with courage. The world may be engulfed in lies, but God’s people walk in truth. The line has been drawn. And we stand on the side of the One who sits on the throne.

Right now the world is shaking. Nations rage. Protests erupt—even outside this very church. Just yesterday, groups gathered here to shout, curse, and condemn. But the protestors are not the real enemy. What we take seriously are the spiritual forces driving the darkness behind them. Yet even then—we don’t fear the dark. We walk with the Light of the world.

The darker it gets, the brighter God’s truth becomes to His people. Spiritually, believers have night vision. While the world stumbles in confusion, we see clearly because the Holy Spirit illuminates what others cannot see.

Scripture says that when we walk in the light, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin—and where sin is removed, light increases. God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. We see what others cannot see, because the Bible—the living, breathing Word of God—opens our eyes.

This book is unlike any other. It is alive. It reveals God’s will. And it dares us to test it, to see if what God says comes to pass. The Bible speaks the future in advance—prophecy that warns us not to tamper with God’s plan, not to rewrite what He has already declared.

And today, as the headlines unfold exactly as Scripture said they would, we are witnessing God’s Word prove itself again.
