Who Is God? Part 1 | Radio Podcast | Joyce Meyer

How Can We Pray For You? Have you signed up yet?

In today’s program, Joyce teaches from her impactful series, Who is God? The Bible reveals many names of God, each showcasing His character and the promises He has for our lives. He is “The Great I Am”—ever-present, all-knowing, and all-sufficient. Most importantly, God desires a deep, personal relationship with each of us.

Discovering the Depth of God’s Nature

Joyce begins by referencing Ephesians 3:10:

The Apostle Paul, who authored much of the New Testament, expressed a continuous desire to know God more deeply. This teaches us the importance of pursuing an ongoing, intimate relationship with Him.

Knowing God Solves All

Many approach God seeking solutions to their problems. However, Joyce reminds us that knowing God intimately provides all the answers we need. When you cultivate a relationship with Him, you’ll find clarity, strength, and peace regardless of life’s challenges. God speaks directly to your circumstances, working within your heart and life.

A Prayer for Deeper Connection

Ephesians 1:17 illustrates Paul’s prayer for the church:

This profound prayer highlights that everything we truly need is found in God. When we focus on knowing Him, rather than merely seeking solutions, we unlock wisdom, peace, and divine strength.

The Power in His Name

In the Old Testament, God was often referred to as Yahweh, meaning “I Am.” This sacred name was so revered that it was initially written without vowels (YHWH) and spoken only with utmost reverence. While we now freely call on God, we are reminded to approach Him with both love and awe.

In the New Testament, the name of Jesus encompasses all the promises and power of God. When we pray in His name, we declare His authority over our lives and circumstances. Speaking His name is not just an act of faith but a powerful declaration that shakes the spiritual realm.

Reverence and Relationship

Joyce emphasizes the balance between being close to God as our friend and maintaining reverence for Him as our Creator. This “reverential fear” is a deep respect, rooted in awe for who He is. In our casual world, it’s essential to reclaim this sense of wonder and honor for God.

Let today’s message encourage you to not only speak His name but to live in constant connection with Him. God is all we’ll ever need.
