The Biggest Obstacle In God’s Plan – And Your Life | Jonathan Cahn Sermon

How Can We Pray For You? Have you signed up yet?

When the Lord gives you a promise, sometimes the biggest obstacle can be you. By clinging to doubts or personal limitations, you risk standing in the way of His victory. God’s message is clear: get out of the way and let Him work. Trust His word, even when it doesn’t align with your understanding or past experiences. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”

God often moves in ways that defy human logic, traditions, or comfort zones. In the book of Acts, we see this vividly. The apostles didn’t orchestrate the great moves of God; they simply responded as He acted. From the Holy Spirit descending on Pentecost to Peter’s revelation about the Gentiles, these events weren’t planned by man but orchestrated by God.

When Peter argued with God about eating “unclean” food in a vision, God responded, “Do not call what I have cleansed unclean.” Peter had to abandon his old ways of thinking, step aside, and follow God’s direction. The result? Gentiles received the Holy Spirit, an act that expanded the early Church in ways the apostles hadn’t imagined.

This principle applies to us today. God’s plans are always bigger, His thoughts higher, and His blessings greater than anything we could design for ourselves. As Isaiah 55:9 says:
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

To experience God’s miracles, we must surrender our will and embrace His. Stop resisting and trust Him to do a new thing in your life. Let go of preconceived notions, fears, and limitations. Just as Paul, Peter, and the early Church had to trust and obey, so must we.

The greatest blessings often come when we step aside and let God take control. Say to Him:
“Lord, I surrender. Let Your will be done in my life. I trust Your plans, even if they don’t fit my own.”

There’s a victory and a blessing waiting for you—one that’s greater than anything you can imagine. Trust in God’s timing, His power, and His love. Get out of the way and let Him lead.
