Craig Groeschel Daily Devotional – October 26, 2026
If your heart feels stretched thin today—pulled between responsibilities, worries, and the quiet ache of questions you can’t quite say out loud—you’re not alone. God sees you right where you are. On this October 26, 2026, pause with me for a moment. Take a deep breath and let your soul remember: you are not carrying life by yourself. The same God who has walked with you through every valley is standing with you now, ready to renew your hope, rebuild your faith, and steady your heart. Today’s devotional is an invitation to lean in, listen for His whisper, and trust that He is writing a story of grace over your life.
Anchored in Promise
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)
This familiar verse is not just a slogan for coffee mugs; it’s a lifeline for real people walking through real uncertainty. God doesn’t ask you to figure everything out. He asks you to trust Him with everything—your questions, your fears, your schedule, your family, your future. “Submit” doesn’t mean losing yourself; it means placing every part of your life into His loving hands. When you do, He promises to “make your paths straight”—to lead you, correct your course, and guide you step by step, even when you can’t see what’s around the corner.
When Fear Shouts and Faith Whispers
You may be facing decisions that feel heavier than your strength—about your kids, your marriage, your job, your health. Fear shouts that you’re not enough and nothing will change. Faith whispers, “God is with you.” Today, instead of asking, “Can I handle this?” ask, “God, how do You want to meet me in this?”
Trust does not mean you never feel afraid; it means you choose to move forward with God even when you are. You can show up to work, care for your family, and walk into difficult conversations knowing you are carried. Practically, this might look like pausing for 30 seconds before a meeting to ask God for wisdom, or praying quietly over your kids while they sleep, or surrendering a financial worry to God each time the anxiety rises. Small acts of surrender build a strong life of faith.
Drawing Near in Faith
Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith to You today, even if it feels small and fragile. Strengthen what is weak in me. Help me to trust Your character when I don’t understand Your timing. Grow my faith so it is not based on my feelings, my circumstances, or the opinions of others, but on Your unchanging Word. Teach me to listen for Your voice and to respond with obedience, even in ordinary moments. Lord, renew my mind so I see myself and my future the way You see them—covered by grace, surrounded by mercy, and held by Your faithful love. Deepen my roots in You so that when the winds of life blow, I will not be uprooted, but will stand firm, confident that You are good, You are near, and You are working all things together for my good and for Your glory. Amen.
Covering Our Homes with Peace
God, I lift my family and loved ones to You today. You see every argument, every unspoken tension, every hidden hurt. Bring Your peace into our home and our relationships. Soften our hearts to forgive quickly and to speak life instead of criticism. Protect our marriages, our children, our parents, and our friendships from division and discouragement. Fill our rooms with Your presence so that anyone who steps through our doors can sense Your love. Restore what’s been broken, heal what’s been wounded, and rewrite the story where the enemy has tried to bring chaos. Let our home be a place where Your name is honored, where prayers are welcomed, and where grace is the language we speak to one another. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Strength for Bodies, Minds, and Hearts
Lord, I bring my health before You—every diagnosis, every ache, every private anxiety. You are the God who heals, restores, and sustains. Strengthen my body where it is weary. Calm my nervous system where it is on edge. Heal my mind from patterns of fear, shame, or despair. Bring comfort where
