Michael Todd Daily Devotional – October 21, 2026

If your heart feels a little worn, if your faith feels a little stretched, this moment is for you. God sees you in the middle of your schedule, your questions, and your silent prayers. You are not reading this by accident. The Lord is inviting you to pause, breathe, and let Him remind you that He is still writing your story, even on an ordinary Wednesday. As you lean into this daily prayer, picture your Father’s hand steadying you, lifting your chin, and whispering, “I am here. I am enough. And I am not finished with you yet.”

Anchored by a Quiet Promise

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV) This verse is more than a Christian motto; it’s a lifeline. We naturally lean on what we can see, predict, and control. But God invites us to transfer the weight of our lives from our limited understanding to His unlimited wisdom. When you submit your plans, fears, and timelines to Him, He doesn’t promise an easy road, but He does promise a straight one—meaning purposeful, guided, and held by His hand. Today, instead of replaying every “what if,” ask, “Lord, how can I trust You right here, right now?”

Walking by Faith in Everyday Moments

Faith is rarely built in stadium moments; it grows in car rides, kitchen sinks, office hallways, and late-night tears. Spiritual growth doesn’t always come with fireworks. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed when you’d rather hide, choosing forgiveness when you’d rather stay angry, or opening your Bible when your phone is calling your name. As you move through this day, invite God into the small spaces: the email you’re nervous to send, the bill that worries you, the doctor’s report you don’t understand, the conversation you’re dreading. Ask the Holy Spirit to make your reactions look more like Jesus—soft answers, patient listening, bold obedience. Little choices become a lifestyle of trust.

Lord, Grow My Faith Today

Father, in the name of Jesus, I surrender my faith journey to You. Strengthen my belief where it feels thin and fragile. Break the lie that I have to see everything before I can trust You. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Help me love Your presence more than I crave answers. Let my roots go deep into Your Word so that when life shakes me, I bend but I don’t break. Guard my heart from doubt, cynicism, and spiritual laziness. Fill me with fresh hunger to know You, to hear You, and to follow You, even when the path isn’t clear. Today, I choose to trust that You are good, You are with me, and You are for me.

Covering My Home with Peace

God, I lift my family and every relationship connected to my life. Step into my home with Your peace, the kind that goes beyond understanding. Heal unspoken hurts, soften hard hearts, and restore broken connections. Where there has been tension, bring tenderness. Where there has been distance, create new closeness. Protect my children, my spouse, my parents, and every loved one, whether near or far. Let our conversations be seasoned with grace. Teach us to apologize quickly, forgive completely, and love sacrificially. Make our home a safe place where Your presence is welcome, Your name is honored, and Your joy is felt.

Healing for Body, Mind, and Soul

Lord, I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions before You. You are Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals. Touch every place in me that aches—physically and emotionally. For sickness, I ask for recovery and strength. For anxiety, I ask for calm and clarity. For depression and heaviness, I ask for Your light to break through. Help me treat this body as Your temple, making wise choices, resting when I need to, and refusing to agree with hopelessness. Surround me with the right doctors, counselors, and support, and give me courage to seek help when I need it. Let Your healing flow through my entire being today.
