The Book Of Acts In The Land Of Fidel Castro | Jonathan Cahn Sermon

In this powerful message, Jonathan Cahn shares a real-life testimony of how the Book of Acts played out in modern times—on a mission to Cuba, the land once ruled by Fidel Castro. Just as the early Church moved from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria, and ultimately to the ends of the Earth, God continues to push His mission forward in unexpected ways.

Paul the Apostle understood his calling. He didn’t just know his purpose—he lived it. He pressed forward through trials, persecutions, and setbacks, never losing sight of his divine mission. Whether stoned, imprisoned, or rejected, Paul kept going. Why? Because he wasn’t just on a mission—his life was the mission. His actions were driven by a clear goal: to fulfill God’s calling by any means necessary.

That same spirit of purpose was felt during Jonathan Cahn’s mission trip to Cuba. Although many things didn’t go according to plan, God was weaving every moment into something greater. At the time, the journey seemed disorganized and filled with setbacks. But when it was all over and they stepped onto the plane, the bigger picture became clear—God had been moving the entire time.

From ministering in a remote mountain village to sounding the shofar and watching the heavens open in a time of drought, the trip was filled with divine encounters. One of the most profound moments came when the team unknowingly ministered on ancestral land belonging to their translator’s family—fulfilling biblical themes of Jubilee and restoration.

They even gave a Bible to Fidel Castro himself.

What’s the takeaway? You may be going through trials right now. Things may seem chaotic, and your plans may feel like they’re falling apart. But God is working behind the scenes, just as He did in the early Church and on the mission in Cuba. Don’t dwell on your hardships. Choose instead to see with Heaven’s eyes.

Paul said, “One thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and pressing on toward the goal.” If you’re walking in God’s purpose, no situation—not even persecution, slander, or setbacks—can stop His calling on your life unless you let it.

So bring the blessing home. Just like Ruth brought the harvest from Boaz’s field back to Naomi, God blesses you so you can bless others—your family, your community, your workplace. Don’t just receive the blessing; return with it. Share the good news. Speak of what God has done, not just what’s gone wrong.

Every hardship, every detour, every delay can be used by God to fulfill your mission. Start looking at your life through the lens of eternity. One day in Heaven, you’ll look back and see how everything worked together for His glory. Why not start seeing it that way now?
