Seeing Clearly in the Darkness: God’s Prophetic Vision for the Middle East
There’s something humbling about standing before God’s Word and trying to communicate what it reveals about the world around us. My words will always fall short—but His never do. In times like these, when the headlines are filled with chaos and uncertainty, we must look at what’s happening through the lens of Scripture, not through the wisdom of men.
This Book I hold isn’t just a book that contains the Word of God—it is the Word of God. And from Genesis to Revelation, it reveals every answer we need. Life, as I often say, has been rigged by God—not against us, but for us. Every event unfolding personally, nationally, or globally is already spoken of in His Word. Our task is to listen, believe, and be ready.
Today’s message—Vision in the Night—comes at a time when the world is talking again about peace in the Middle East. Leaders and nations gather, signing agreements and declaring hope for a “new dawn.” Yet the Bible reminds us that no treaty will bring lasting peace to Israel or the nations. Only the return of the true Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ, will end the conflict that has raged since the beginning.
God declared in Isaiah 42:9, “Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them.” He alone reveals the future before it happens. That’s why believers can look at the world’s chaos and still see clarity—because we’ve been given night vision through God’s Word. The darker it gets, the clearer the light becomes for those who walk with Him.
We saw that light even when darkness tried to surround this very church. Protesters shouted outside, angered by truth, yet what they didn’t understand is that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers. The real battle isn’t seen with the naked eye—it’s a spiritual one. But God’s Spirit gives His people the ability to see beyond the visible, to discern what’s really taking place.
The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood… called out of darkness into His marvelous light.” That means, Christian, you have sight others don’t. You can see what’s coming because God has already spoken it. You don’t need to defend the Bible—just release it. It is alive, powerful, and sharper than any sword.
When world leaders announce peace, we should pray for it, but we should also remember what prophecy teaches: there will be many treaties, but none will endure. The Scriptures foretell a time when false peace will deceive the nations, and only then will the world realize that true peace cannot come through politics—but through the King of Kings.
So, what are we to do? Jesus said in Luke 21:36, “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen.” This isn’t a call to fear—it’s a call to faithfulness. Watch, pray, stay alert. The world may stumble in the dark, but those who walk in the light of God’s Word will see the path ahead clearly.
Because the darker the night becomes… the brighter the light of Christ will shine.
