The today.
In the teachings of grace, great emphasis is placed upon the fact that it is god who works.
It is god who works.
It’s hard for our believers to receive that because we we always wanna do something so we can brag about it, but he says, no.
God did this. And this was a gift, and you can’t boast about it, and and and save people have a hard time with that.
Because religion always requires you to do something.
Alright. Now watch this. Let’s look at the scriptures. Philippians chapter 2 and verse 13.
Philippians chapter 2 in verse 13. You need god.
Alright. Now what’s this? For god is working in you.
Giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
Who’s working in you? What is he doing?
So god’s working in you. Who’s working? He’s working in you.
He’s working on your desires, and he says, I’m gonna give you a desire to want to do what pleases me.
God’s gonna give you the desire to pleasing.
God’s working in you, so you’ll have a desire to pleasing.
I always thought that was up to me. I always thought that was my job.
My job is to work real hard so I can wanna please god.
And here is, like god said, he’s working in you, so you’ll wanna please him.
So pleasing god is a work of god and not a work of us.
But that’s a big deal. You’re trusting god to give you the desire to pleasing.
Oh, and, yes, he’s working. So god’s doing the work.
Look at Hebrews chapter 13, verse 20 21. Hebrews 13, verse 2021.
Now I may the god of peace who brought up from the dead our lord Jesus.
Who brought up from the dead our lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood.
May he equip you with all you need? For doing his will.
Stop right there. He will equip you with all you need. For doing his will.
Now notice he says he’ll give you the desire to do his will, so pleasing.
Here he says, he will equip you with all you need to do his will, may he produce in you through the power of Jesus Christ every good thing that is pleasing to him.
He says he’s gonna produce in you. Every good thing that pleases him.
I’ll glory to him forever and ever.
He is going to produce in you every good thing that pleases him. He’s gonna do it.
He’s gonna do it. Now I noticed in both of these so far, he’s equipping you for his will, not yours.
That might be the problem. We’re so focused on what we wanna do when we’re not really focused
on what he wants to do. And he said,
I’m equipping you for my will. I know the plan for you.
He said it’s a good plan, and I’m gonna equip you for the plan I got for you.
I’m gonna equip you to do will. I’m a put everything and produce everything in you.
I’m a produce in you every good thing that is pleasing to him. I’m a producing you love.
I’m a producing you joy. I’m producing you everything that pleases him.
Ah, it is the fruit of this spirit. It is not your fruit.
It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and he will produce everything, every good thing.
That’s pleasing to him.
I gotta believe that.
And that’s what he wants us to do.
He want us to stop believing that.
But we keep searching for the steps to do what he said
he’d do.
You keep looking for the steps.
No. Look at this. 1st Corinthians 37.
Now I’m setting you up for one big comment because some of you are thinking, well, what what are you I already showed you one thing.
You do. You believe. Now what’s this? It’s not important who does the planting.
Or who does the watery. What’s important is god makes the sea grow.
Who makes the seed grow? No. We do.
No. We do. Okay. No. You do. No. No. No. God does. God does.
Not the one who orders? Not the one who plants?
So here’s what we say
Well, god can’t bring the increase if you don’t water implant.
That ain’t what that ain’t
that’s no. No. No.
Gawk god can bring the increase in in fider, whether you watered a planet.
You keep thinking that your actions hinder god.
Or you keep thinking that the power of god is based on your performance?
The power of god is not based on your performance, honey?
Your performance is based on the power of god.
The the right one, but religion’s got us all this backwards, dude.
God makes the seed grow. And every time you see seed, you think about money.
He he’s not talking about no money, He’s talking about planting and watering in the lives of other people And he’s the one that’s gonna cause it to be results,
the results to come. Come on.
Let’s look at the let’s look at one more and I’ll continue here. 1st Corinthians 12 6.
For strengthens 1216. God works in different ways.
But it’s the same god who does the work in all of us.
Who does the work? He just works in the preachers.
He works in all of us. He works in all of us.
That’s going to require you to believe it.
It sounds like a small thing, except there’s something lurking around on the inside of us called self dependence.
And we’ve cultivated that a lot more than we’ve cultivated, cultivated god dependence.
God’s working in us. So but I can’t tell he he’d work me.
Just keep believing it. Keep believing it. Every time you do something stupid, just remind yourself god’s working in me.
I’m a be alright. God’s working in me. Oh, man. That was dumb. Look. God’s working in me.
I’m a be alright. Declare out loud. I’m the righteousness of god. Not you say it now.
I’m just saying in that moment. You declare the right I’m the righteousness of god.
You just keep your belief right there. I still believe it. I still believe I’m righteous.
I still believe I’m redeemed. I still believe that I’m gonna do what pleases god.
I still believe I can live this Christian life. I still believe it. God’s working in me.
God’s working in me. We think
god’s only involved when there’s nothing when there’s no pressure in our life, when there’s nothing going on wrong, then, hey.
That’s god. You know how extremely concerned I would be if there was no pressure in my life?
You gonna, one day, learn to appreciate the trials that come in your life.
Because that’s what gets rid of that self dependence.
And the quicker you accept by the power of god the better it’s gonna start being with you.
But the more you keep insisting that you can do without him, his love is so great.
And he’s like, I, um, I’m not gonna let I’m not gonna let go of this.
I am going to do what I got to do, to produce the life in you.
And some of you can’t hear give you instructions because you’re so cluttered.
You’re so distracted with everything else that’s going on,
that you can’t even hear god.
It’s not like he’s not speaking, you can’t hear him because you’ve got so much clutter in your in your in your soul.
You can’t hear him. He’s telling you what to
do to get that promotion.
You couldn’t hear it. He’s telling you what to do
so you won’t get cancer.
You couldn’t hear it. He’s telling you what to do so you can keep your marriage.
You couldn’t hear it. Clutter, clutter, clutter, more clutter.
And then when god don’t do exactly what you want him to do, now you’re mad at him, And now you definitely can’t hear him because you mad at the only one who can help you.
This is real.
Look at what’s happening in the world, and you ain’t seen nothing yet.
I said this stuff, Taffy, yesterday, I said. The time has come.
For people who just continued their own way.
And not listen to what god’s trying to do with them, they’re now going to see the manifestation of that.
And and it won’t be god that did it.
It’s like, I’ve been trying to get your attention and you just keep ongoing.
Like, I ain’t saying nothing.
Due season is is at hand.
And it’s it’s still gonna be god doing it for you. You’re good.
For your good. Help you not to kill yourself.
Help you not to destroy yourself. But I’m saying, wake up, charge Listen.
Trust him. He’s got you. Pay attention.
No. No. No. No. I’m just gonna keep doing what What, um, social media tells me to do, I’m I’m gonna keep doing, um, no?
No? You know, no. I got 500 friends, and they disagree with you, pastor.
Oh my god. You they don’t know you. You don’t know them. What’s the matter with you?
They don’t care nothing about you? I don’t even know why you call them friends.
They’re not your friend.
Did we read 1st Corinthians?
Yeah. God does the work. So god is doing the work.
Now watch this. I thought this was really interesting.
Now to show that the power so that the power of life under graces of god, that that this power to live the life that god expects, It is of god.
There are these 3 scriptures I wanna show you that emphasize the weakness of man so you can see the power of god.
So let me show you just what we got, who we are. Second Corinthians chapter 47.
2nd Corinthians chapter 47, and NLT.
Uh, we now have this light shining in our hearts, but we, ourselves, are like fragile clay jars.
We are like fragile clay jars, containing this great treasure.
This makes it clear that our great power is from god and not from ourselves.
So we’re like, fragile jars containing this great power in our vessels.
So it’s obvious since we don’t even have the strength to really carry this great treasure that the power is of god and not of us.
The power for living this godly life is of god and not of us.
I I like the way that King James read that too. Look look at verse 7 and then King James.
It it’s it’s it’s his sufficiency.
He says, but we have this treasure in earth and vessels that the excellency of the power may be of god and the power is not of us.
The power is of god. The power is not of us.
Look at 2nd Corinthians chapter 1 versus 8 through 10.

I want you walking
out of here today with this this mindset. I need you, god.
Today, I stopped trying to do stuff dependent on me. Alright. You made the promise.
It’s it’s on you. It’s on you. Now look at this.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble, which came to us in Asia that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, and so much that we despaired even of life.
But we had the sentence of death in our lives that we should not trust in ourselves, but in god which raises the dead, who delivered us from so great of death, and thus deliver in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.
He said y’all don’t know what we’ve been through. Many times, we were at the point of death.
He says, but we decided we were gonna trust god.
We were gonna trust the one who had power over death.
And by depending on him, we were able to be delivered out of this thing.
See, before death takes you, I want you to trust the god who has power over death.
Before poverty you. I want you to trust a god that has power over poverty.
Y’all know it’s true, but right now, these days in time, man, you
gotta pray for you. You walk out the house.
That people will walk out the house and then come back home.
Their kids have went to college to try to get their life started and then come back home.
There are folks who ran to the grocery store to get a local bread, and then come back home.
There are folks who went out to spend a day in the park and didn’t come back home.
There are folks who went to visit another country and didn’t come back home.
I’m saying before you leave home,
trusting the god that is able to Watch over you when you leave and give your traveling verses and bring you all the way back home again.
And you won’t be able to brag about it. It was just you that did it.
It was god watching over you, hallelujah.
You have a god that can watch you in the middle of every chaotic thing that’s happening in this world, it shall not come near you because he’s watching over you.

And he will show me great salvation.
I gotta trust god.
I can’t trust the pope on no more. They ain’t never that when you need them.
They come and wrap up stuff when it’s over.
You would like for them to be there when they come through the door, but but you need god.
Nobody called 911. They don’t know what’s going on right now, but god does hallelujah, and he’s already commanded angels to watch over you.
Let’s shoot dash your foot against the stone. God knows how to take care of you.
But there’s a generation of people that don’t believe it.
They don’t believe that god can take care of you.
They don’t believe that god can watch over you.
They keep pulling up something that didn’t happen and Why god didn’t do that?
And why god let that happen? Don’t nobody know all the answers.
Get saved and ask him when you’re sin.
You will find out that he had your greater good insight.
You you would you would wanna think that you have them, of course, passed everybody believes that.
No. They don’t. They are choosing to worship the devil more than they worship god.
I’m not willing to to take that risk.
God, I trust you. I trust you. I I need you. I trust you.
I depend on you. Well, you’re just being religious. No. I quit religion. I I I believe in god.
I trust god. I depend on god. And he’s not gonna let me down.
If I listen, if if you’ve depend if I’ve I’ve I’ve been dependent on god and I’ve gone on 42 years, I’m not gonna stop depending on god, god has been my refuge.
God has been my fortress. God has been my peace. God has been my deliverer. Lately, god’s been my healer.
Hallelujah god God is the one that can lift you up. God is the one that can protect you.
God is the one that can speak peace to you.
And I just decided that if you were coming to church today, you’re gonna heal by god.
You gotta hear about a Jesus who died for you.
You’re gonna hear about a savior who showed up and rescued you. He is not gonna give up on you.
I don’t care what you decide to do. You can cut him and send him the hell.
He ain’t gonna give up on you. He gonna stay with you. He’s not gonna lead you.
He gonna be locked in on you. He will never forsake you, and he will save you.
He will protect you. He will be your god.
I’m a speak with him.
I mean, what else are you gonna do? I I don’t know.
What is it? What else to do? Don’t you can’t even drive your car?
He drives your car. He got rid of the dump just in case I’m having.
You you waved to somebody.
He he thought you shot him a bird. Now he got a gun. He pulled it out.
Now you you’re driving like this.
Well, that ain’t going nowhere. What you gonna do?
What you gonna do when you you thought it was really the company that called you, but it was a scam.
