What Do You See? A Spiritual Perspective for Overcoming Challenges

What do you currently see in the place where you are right now, in the things you dislike? Do you see it as everyone else does in the natural, or do you see it from God’s perspective?

Heavenly Father, we thank You and worship You. We are grateful for the opportunity to gather in Your name. Across the world, there are many gatherings happening, but not all are in Your name. Here, we seek Your face, knowing that You are present among us. We believe that You will reveal Yourself in a mighty way. Heavenly Father, break through every hardness of heart with Your Word, and let it penetrate deeply into our spirits. Wherever darkness has reigned, may Your Word bring light and guide Your children out of it. We cannot do this without Your Spirit, so we pray, Holy Spirit, glorify Jesus through everything we do. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, filled with powerful messages. Pastor K delivered an impactful word, and I also shared insights on laying a foundation of faith. Today, we continue on that journey. One of the things I love most is studying animals, especially eagles. There is a wisdom in God’s creation that offers deeper insight into His ways.

Eagles are known for their ability to soar. They understand how to leverage the wind to rise effortlessly. However, an eagle’s ability to soar is only effective if it has perfect vision. Eagles possess exceptional sight, said to be four to six times better than human vision. Their ability to soar and see is crucial for their survival, as they need to spot their prey while soaring.

In the same way, as believers, we need both the ability to soar in faith and clear spiritual vision. Without vision, soaring becomes unfruitful. Sight is vital in the life of a believer.

This brings me to the message of a “blind generation.” If you cannot see clearly where you are, then even when you rise higher, you still won’t be able to see on that level. The question is: What do you see right now, in the place where you are, in the situations you don’t like? Do you see as others do in the natural, or do you see it through God’s eyes?

Sometimes, God places us in challenging jobs or environments, and if we only see them in the natural, we may complain. But if we see it from God’s perspective, we can recognize that He is using these circumstances to build our patience, shape our character, and refine us for His purpose.

What do you see where you are now? Pastor Ki recently spoke about the youth in Nigeria, and when we think of this country, what do we see? If we see only corruption in government, we lack spiritual vision. I remember when God revealed to me that Nigeria is the heartbeat of Africa. This nation, with its youth, holds the potential to bring freedom to not just Africa but to black communities worldwide. The oppression it faces is a reflection of its spiritual significance.

In Nigeria, over 60% of the population is under 25, yet we often focus on the corruption of a few individuals. If we only see through natural eyes, we’ll be trapped in complaints. But if we see from a spiritual perspective, we can ask God how to align with His strategy to uplift the nation. We can invest in the youth, starting with our own communities. It’s about recognizing what God is doing and partnering with Him in His work.
