Apostles, Demons, & Your Power Over The Enemy | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
Apostles, Demons, & Your Power Over The Enemy
From the Book of Acts – Jonathan Cahn uncovers a dramatic attack of demonic spirits, the word of the apostles, the miracles, and the authority God has given you to overcome what you’re dealing with right now in all things!
We are no match for the enemy on our own. But the enemy is absolutely no match for God—not in any way, shape, or form. Compared to God, the enemy is like an ant crushed beneath His feet.
In Acts 19:13, Scripture tells us:
“Some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Yeshua—Jesus—over those who had evil spirits, saying, ‘We command you by the name of Yeshua, whom Paul preaches.’”
These men tried to invoke the name of Jesus without actually knowing Him. They had no relationship with Him—they simply used His name like a magic formula. The Greek word used for “exorcists” refers to those who attempt to bind spirits through spells or oaths. In ancient times, many viewed the Jewish people with a sense of mystery, believing that their reluctance to speak God’s name gave it special spiritual power. Some people misused this reverence, treating it like superstition.
The sons of Sceva—seven sons of a Jewish high priest—tried to cast out demons without knowing the Lord. Perhaps they sought fame, money, or influence. But their motives were not pure. And when they confronted a demon-possessed man using the name of Jesus, the demon responded:
“Jesus I know, and Paul I know—but who are you?”
(Acts 19:15)
With no spiritual authority, the demon-possessed man attacked all seven of them. He beat them so badly that they fled naked and wounded. One man—empowered by a demon—overpowered seven people. Why? Because they had no connection to the power of God.
This terrifying encounter became known throughout the city of Ephesus. Fear fell upon the people, and the name of Jesus was magnified. Even through this failed attempt, God’s glory was revealed.
Here’s the truth:
You cannot engage the enemy without God. You cannot fight spiritual battles in your own strength. Throughout Latin America and other parts of the world, many who claim to follow God still dabble in the occult—mixing Christianity with practices like Macumba or Santería. But any attempt to use God without surrendering to Him ends in destruction.
The devil is an imitator. He doesn’t create—he corrupts. He twists what is sacred and repackages it as something dark. Fortune-telling mimics prophecy. Sorcery imitates the power of the Holy Spirit. The occult is a counterfeit of God’s kingdom—a black-market version of divine truth.

We have a senior care ministry in Salida, CO and are trying to finish building a facility in Saguache, CO. After we started, I found fraud and it took an attorney to get things settled. It took our BOD continually standing on the word of G-D that what He started will not be defeated by the enemy. We have learned there are three covens that operate in the immediate area and three more in Crestone, CO.
Please pray for the donations to come through for us to finish the entire campus. Seems that our facility that will be operated by those of us that follow Yeshua and the truth of the word; your ministry tapes and study are not exactly liked here.
We on the other hand will not waiver. We are just asking for King size prayer partners.
PS our seniors love your teaching... 🙂
