Steven Furtick Daily Devotional – October 22, 2026

Some mornings you wake up ready to take on the world. Other days you open your eyes and feel the weight of unanswered prayers, unfinished battles, and unknown outcomes. If today feels heavy, you’re not alone—and you’re not without hope. God is not intimidated by your doubts, your deadlines, or your disappointments. He shows up right where you are, in the middle of the mess, and whispers, “I’m still here. I’m still working.” As you lean into this devotional, let today be a reset for your faith—a reminder that your story isn’t over and your God has not stepped off the throne.

Anchored in a Promise-Giving God

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NIV) This verse reminds us that God is both the author and the finisher of our faith. He didn’t start a work in you just to abandon it halfway. Even when progress feels slow or invisible, heaven is not on pause. God is still building, shaping, and refining you. Your confidence today doesn’t rest on your feelings, your performance, or your plans. It rests on the unshakable character of a God who finishes what He starts. When you feel stuck, remember: you are in process, not in prison.

Living with Hope in the Middle of the Process

Hope is not pretending everything is fine. Hope is choosing to trust God while everything is still being worked out. Today, as you face your schedule, your inbox, your responsibilities, you can walk in a quiet confidence: God is already in your tomorrow. You don’t have to carry all the outcomes—just the obedience He’s placed in front of you today. Maybe that means making one hard phone call, offering forgiveness, showing up on time, or simply refusing to agree with the voice that says, “Nothing will ever change.” Invite God into your routines. Turn small moments—your commute, your coffee break, your walk down the hallway—into conversations with Him. Little by little, your ordinary day becomes holy ground.

Drawing Near in Faith and Spiritual Growth

Father, today I choose to trust You again. Grow my faith beyond what I can see and feel. Help me to desire Your presence more than I crave control. When fear tries to rule my thoughts, remind me of Your faithfulness. When doubt speaks louder than truth, draw me back to Your Word. Shape my desires so they line up with Your will. Teach me to hear Your voice in the quiet and in the chaos. Stretch my capacity to believe You for more, not because I’m strong, but because You are faithful. Deepen my roots so that storms don’t uproot me, but instead push me closer to You.

Covering Our Homes with God’s Peace

Lord, I lift up my family, my loved ones, and every relationship connected to my life. Bring unity where there has been tension, and tenderness where hearts have grown cold. Guard our conversations from harsh words, impatience, and unforgiveness. Let our home be a refuge, not a battlefield—a place where Your peace rests and Your presence is felt. Restore broken connections. Heal old wounds. Give us courage to apologize quickly and to forgive freely. Surround our households with Your angels and fill our rooms with joy, laughter, and the awareness that You are with us.

Strength for Body, Mind, and Soul

Heavenly Father, I place my health—physical, emotional, and spiritual—into Your hands. For any sickness, pain, or weakness, I ask for Your healing touch. Strengthen my body to do what You have called me to do. Calm anxious thoughts and quiet inner turmoil. Replace exhaustion with endurance, and heaviness with hope. Help me make wise choices about rest, food, and boundaries. Where there is depression, shine Your light. Where there is fear, release Your perfect love. Remind me that my body is Your temple and my mind is not a playground for the enemy, but a place where Your truth can reign.

Inviting God into Work and Provision

Lord, I bring my work, my job situation, my finances, and my future into Your care. You see every bill, every deadline, every application, every dream. Give me diligence, creativity, and excellence in what I do. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones.
