Dr. Bill Winston Daily Devotional – October 1, 2026

As you step into this new day, God is inviting you to lift your eyes above every headline, every bill, every ache, and every fear, and fix them firmly on Him. You are not forgotten, you are not overlooked, and you are not on your own. The same God who spoke the universe into existence is present in your living room, your car, your office, and your thoughts right now. Today, by faith, you can agree with what heaven is saying about you: you are loved, redeemed, called, and equipped. Let this devotional be a quiet pause in your busy American life—a moment to reset your heart, receive fresh hope, and align yourself with God’s promises as you walk in the spirit of faith taught and modeled by leaders like Dr. Bill Winston.

Anchored in the Word of Power

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV) This short verse carries a big challenge and an even bigger promise. Walking by faith means we do not let what we see, feel, or hear in the natural world have the final say. The economy, the diagnosis, the family tension, the news cycle—none of these are your master. Faith dares to believe what God has spoken even when nothing seems to line up yet. Faith is not pretending there are no problems; it is trusting that God’s Word is greater than every problem. Today, God is calling you to step out of fear-based living and into faith-based living, one decision, one thought, and one confession at a time.

Living Above Circumstances Today

When you woke up this morning, the spiritual climate around you was already set: God is for you. The enemy may whisper that you are stuck, that nothing will change, that you have simply gone too far or waited too long. But the truth is, every situation still has to bow to the name of Jesus. Practically, this means you choose to speak God’s promises over your life instead of rehearsing your worries. It means pausing before reacting, and quietly saying, “Lord, I trust You here.” It might look like forgiving someone instead of replaying the hurt, or tithing even when money feels tight, or turning off a toxic show and opening your Bible. These small, faith-filled choices create room for God’s power to move. You do not have to feel strong to live by faith; you simply have to keep turning your heart toward God, again and again.

Drawing Near for Deeper Faith

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to stir fresh faith in my heart today. Pull me closer to You than I have ever been. Where I have doubted, heal my unbelief. Where I have grown weary, breathe new strength and courage into my spirit. Teach me to hear Your voice above every other voice. Help me to value Your Word more than my emotions, my past mistakes, or the opinions of others. I surrender my plans, my timelines, and my own understanding to You. Let every delay become a doorway to deeper trust. Let every challenge push me further into Your presence. Fill me with the Holy Spirit in a new and tangible way so that I walk today with holy boldness, supernatural peace, and expectation for what You are doing in and through me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Grace for Home and Relationships

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones before You. Cover our home with Your peace. Where there has been tension, bring reconciliation. Where there has been distance, restore connection. Heal generational wounds, unspoken hurts, and old misunderstandings. Let our conversations be seasoned with grace and truth. Protect our marriages, our children, our parents, and every relationship connected to us. Give us wisdom to set healthy boundaries and the humility to say, “I’m sorry,” when needed. Make our home a sanctuary of Your presence, a place where Your love is felt, Your name is honored, and Your Word is trusted. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Strength for Body, Mind, and Emotions

Heavenly Father, I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions to You. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. Touch every place of pain, sickness, and weakness. Restore what has been damaged, reversed, or worn down. Calm anxious thoughts and racing minds. Break the grip of fear, depression, and torment. Fill me with Your joy, which is my strength. Guide me
