Craig Groeschel Daily Devotional – October 22, 2026
Right where you are today—whether you’re sipping coffee before work, juggling kids and responsibilities, or fighting back tears no one else can see—God is with you. He hasn’t lost track of your story, your needs, or your prayers that feel long overdue. This new day is not just another square on the calendar; it’s a fresh invitation from God to trust Him again, to breathe again, and to believe that He is working even in what you cannot see. As we lean into this daily prayer, inspired by the down-to-earth faith and practical teaching Craig Groeschel is known for, let your heart open wide to the God who meets you in the middle of real life—messy, busy, beautiful, and broken, all at the same time.
Anchored in God’s Word Today
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)
This verse is more than a Christian bumper sticker. It’s a daily challenge. God invites you to trust Him with “all your heart,” not just the parts that feel easy to surrender. When you stop leaning on your own understanding—your need to figure it all out, fix it all, and control every outcome—you make room for God to do what only He can do. As you submit your ways to Him today—your schedule, your decisions, your relationships—He promises to direct your path, even if you can’t yet see the road ahead clearly.
Choosing Trust Over Anxiety
Life in America can feel like a constant rush: bills stacking up, news cycles stirring fear, pressures at work, and the quiet ache of personal struggles. In that swirl, it’s easy to live spiritually on “autopilot.” But God is inviting you to slow your soul, to pause long enough to remember who is truly in control.
Today, choose one area where you’ve been trying to carry the full weight on your own—maybe your kids, your job security, your health, or your future—and intentionally hand it back to God. You might even whisper, “Lord, this is bigger than me, but it is not bigger than You.” As you do, you’ll find that faith is not pretending everything is fine; faith is placing everything—fine or not—into the hands of a faithful God.
Drawing Near in Faith
Father, strengthen my faith today. I confess that I often trust my feelings more than Your promises. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Grow in me a deep, steady confidence that You are good, You are for me, and You are with me. Help me hear Your voice through Your Word, and give me the courage to obey You even when I’m afraid. Let my faith not be a Sunday-only habit, but a daily, moment-by-moment dependence on You. Use every trial, every delay, and every blessing to grow my roots deeper in Christ so I stand firm when the winds of life blow.
Covering Our Homes in Prayer
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every tension, every unspoken hurt, and every silent need in our home. Bring Your peace into our conversations and Your love into our attitudes. Heal broken relationships, soften hardened hearts, and restore what has been damaged by anger, disappointment, or distance. Guard our home from division, resentment, and bitterness. Let forgiveness flow freely. Help us to speak life over each other, to listen with patience, and to serve one another with humility. May our home be a place where Your presence is felt, Your name is honored, and Your joy is evident.
Health, Strength, and Inner Healing
Heavenly Father, I place my body, mind, and emotions in Your hands. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. For every physical sickness, pain, or weakness, I ask for Your healing touch. Give wisdom to doctors, clarity in treatment decisions, and strength for every step of recovery. For emotional burdens—anxiety, depression, grief, and fear—speak peace over my soul. Calm the storm inside of me. Replace worry with worship, panic with Your perfect peace, and exhaustion with Your renewing strength. Help me to care for my body as Your temple, to rest well, to nourish myself wisely, and to remember that my worth is not defined by my health, but
