Joel Osteen Daily Devotional – October 22, 2026: Standing Confident in God’s Timing

If your heart feels a little tired today, if you’re waiting on something to change and wondering if God still remembers you, this devotional is for you. The same God who carried you through every yesterday is already in your tomorrow, arranging things for your good. You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are right on schedule for what God has prepared. As you quiet your soul and draw near to Him today, expect hope to rise again, faith to be stirred, and fresh courage to walk forward—one obedient step at a time.

Anchored by God’s Promise

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6, NKJV) God is not a starter who fails to finish. He didn’t begin a good work in you just to leave you stuck halfway. Paul’s confidence wasn’t in himself, his circumstances, or other people. His confidence was in God’s character. When you feel like your progress is too slow, or your dream feels out of reach, remember: God’s work in you is a process, not a moment. He is faithfully shaping, refining, and preparing you, even in the seasons that feel quiet or confusing.

Walking Through the Waiting

We often love God’s promises but struggle with God’s timing. Yet the waiting room is where our roots go deeper. That delay you dislike may be the place God is building the strength you’ll need for the answered prayer you’re asking for. Instead of rehearsing fears, choose to rehearse His faithfulness. Think of what He has already brought you through. Today, invite the Holy Spirit into your schedule, your conversations, your decisions. Pause before you react. Ask, “Lord, how do You want me to respond?” As you align your attitude and choices with His Word—at work, at home, in traffic—you grow strong on the inside, and that inner strength prepares you for outer blessings.

Drawing Near in Faith

Heavenly Father, today I bring You my doubts, my questions, and the parts of my heart that feel worn out. I choose to believe that You are still working, even when I can’t see it. Grow my faith, Lord. Teach me to trust You more deeply than my feelings, more firmly than my circumstances, more consistently than my own understanding. When fear whispers that I am alone, remind me that You are closer than my next breath. Let Your Word come alive to me; give me a hunger to read it, a desire to obey it, and the courage to stand on it. Lead me to think higher thoughts, speak life over my situation, and expect Your goodness to show up in my story. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Covering Our Homes with Peace

Father, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Where there is tension, bring tenderness. Where there is distance, bring reconciliation. Let forgiveness flow in our homes like a healing river. Protect our marriages, our children, our friendships. Guard us from misunderstanding, from harsh words, from the schemes of the enemy that try to divide us. Fill our houses with Your presence so strongly that anxiety, strife, and confusion have no place to settle. Give us patience with one another, wisdom for parenting, and grace for every season of life. May our homes be places of laughter, safety, and encouragement, where Your name is honored and Your love is felt.

Health, Healing, and Inner Strength

Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions to You. Where there is sickness, release healing. Where there is pain, bring relief and restoration. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and guide me to healthy habits and wise choices. For the anxiety, stress, or heaviness I may carry, I ask for Your supernatural peace to guard my heart and mind. Heal old wounds, silence condemning thoughts, and break the power of fear. Let Your joy be my strength today, and help me to see myself the way You see me—cherished, valuable, and whole in Christ.

Trusting God with Work and Provision

Father, You are my source, not my job, not the economy, not people. I place my work, my business, and my finances in Your hands. Give me favor with supervisors, coworkers, clients,
