Andrew Wommack Daily Devotional – October 21, 2026: Standing Strong in Grace
If your heart feels a little weary today, you are not alone. Many believers across America are quietly fighting battles no one else sees—questions about the future, concerns about family, pressure at work, or the ache of unanswered prayers. Yet right in the middle of all of this, God is whispering the same truth He has spoken through the ages: “My grace is enough for you.” As you read this devotional and join in prayer, let the Lord meet you where you are. You do not have to perform for Him or pretend to be strong. You are invited to rest in His finished work and receive His peace, His power, and His presence—right now, in this very moment.
Anchored in the Word
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’” (James 4:6, ESV)
This verse reminds us that God is not stingy with His help. He “gives more grace”—fresh mercy, new strength, and supernatural ability for whatever we face today. Humility is not self-hatred; it’s choosing to depend fully on God instead of on our own performance, feelings, or circumstances. As Andrew Wommack often emphasizes, grace is God’s power working on our behalf, completely unearned and undeserved, yet fully available in Christ. When we bow our hearts in trust, His grace rises strong in our lives.
Living from Grace, Not from Striving
Most of us know how to work hard, but many of us struggle to rest in God’s love. We ask, “Have I prayed enough? Believed enough? Done enough?” The gospel answers with a resounding, “Jesus is enough.” Today, choose to shift from striving to trusting. When anxiety shows up, speak God’s promises out loud. When discouragement knocks, remind your heart that you are already accepted in Christ. Take five quiet minutes to breathe, read a Scripture, and thank God for one thing He has already done. Small moments of turning to Him throughout the day build a lifestyle of faith. Grace does not make you passive; it empowers you to live boldly, love deeply, and walk confidently, knowing that God is for you and not against you.
Prayer for Faith and Spiritual Growth
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring my faith journey to You today. Where my faith feels small, breathe on it and make it strong. I receive “more grace” for this very season of my life. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see Jesus more clearly and to trust what He finished at the cross. Teach me to live from my identity as a loved child of God, not from fear, guilt, or shame. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word, a deeper desire for prayer, and a sensitivity to Your leading. I lay down self-effort and pick up confidence in Your promises. Strengthen my inner life so that I can stand steady, even when circumstances shake. Let my faith be rooted in Your goodness and not in my feelings. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer for Family and Relationships
Lord, I lift my family, my loved ones, and every relationship You have placed in my life. Bring Your peace into our home and into our hearts. Heal misunderstandings, soften hard places, and mend every broken connection. Help us communicate with kindness and listen with grace. Cover our marriages, our children, our parents, and extended family with Your love and protection. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is distance, build healthy bridges. Let our households be places where Your presence is felt, Your Word is honored, and Your joy is known. Give me wisdom to love well, forgive quickly, and speak life instead of criticism or fear. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer for Health and Emotional Wholeness
Jesus, You are my healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions before You. I receive the healing You purchased at the cross. Let Your resurrection life flow through every part of me that is weak, sick, or exhausted. Touch chronic pain, hidden illness, and every diagnosis with Your restoring power. Calm the storms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Replace worry with peace, confusion with clarity, and heaviness with hope. Teach me to care well for the body You have given me—through rest, wise choices, and obedience to Your leading. I declare that my body is a temple of
