Craig Groeschel Daily Devotional – June 01, 2026
If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Maybe you woke up with burdens that followed you from yesterday—questions about your future, worries about your family, or silent fears you hardly dare to name. As you read this, take a deep breath. God is closer than your next heartbeat, and He already knows every detail of what you’re facing. Today’s devotional is a simple invitation: to slow down, open your hands, and trust that your Heavenly Father is working even when you can’t see it. He isn’t asking you to have perfect faith—just a willing heart that says, “Lord, I’m here. I’m listening.”
Anchored in a Promise That Never Shifts
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NIV)
This familiar verse is more than a Christian slogan; it is an invitation to live differently. Trusting God with all your heart means refusing to let your limited perspective be the final word. When life feels twisted, God promises to “make your paths straight”—not always easy, not always quick, but purposeful and guided. Submitting your ways to Him looks like surrendering your timeline, your plans, and your expectations, and believing that His wisdom is greater than your own. Today, you don’t have to untangle everything. You simply bring it to Him and walk in the next step of obedience.
Choosing Faith in the Middle, Not Just at the End
We often want the miracle without the middle. The middle is messy, full of unanswered questions and uncomfortable waiting. That may be exactly where you are right now. You’re praying, but nothing seems to move. You’re doing what’s right, but you’re not seeing results. In this place, faith becomes more than a word—it becomes a decision. You choose to believe that God is working behind the scenes, rearranging pieces you can’t yet see.
In practical terms, this means turning your worry into worship. When anxious thoughts rise, whisper a short prayer: “Jesus, I trust You with this.” When you’re tempted to complain, pause and thank God for one specific blessing. When fear of the future tries to overwhelm you, open your Bible, even for five minutes, and let His Word reset your mind. Every small step of trust builds spiritual muscle. Over time, you begin to realize: God has been faithful in every season, and He will not start failing you now.
Drawing Near in Faith and Growing Deeper
Father, today I bring You my faith, weak and imperfect as it may feel. I ask You to deepen my trust in You. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly, to recognize Your leading, and to obey quickly and joyfully. Help me crave Your presence more than the approval of people or the comfort of my own plans. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word so that my thoughts, decisions, and desires are shaped by Your truth and not by fear or culture.
Lord, I surrender the parts of my heart I’ve held back—the disappointments, the questions, the failures I hide. Meet me in those places with Your grace. Strengthen my faith so that I do not give up when I cannot see immediate results. Holy Spirit, fill me again. Renew my mind, purify my motives, and ignite a fresh passion to love You and serve others. Let my life today reflect that I belong to You.
Covering Our Homes With God’s Peace
God, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every need, every unspoken hurt, every strained relationship. I ask that Your peace would rest on our home like a gentle blanket. Heal old wounds and soften hard hearts. Give us the courage to apologize where we have caused pain and the grace to forgive where we have been hurt.
Protect our marriages, our children, our friendships, and our extended families. Guard us from division, bitterness, and misunderstanding. Teach us to listen well, to speak kindly, and to love sacrificially. Let our homes be places where Your presence is felt—where laughter, prayer, and encouragement are normal. May Your Spirit rule over every conversation and decision, uniting us in Christ.
