Priscilla Shirer Daily Devotional – June 01, 2026
If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Maybe you woke up with a list of worries already waiting on your nightstand—bills, health concerns, strained relationships, decisions that won’t wait. Yet right here, in this ordinary June morning, the Lord is leaning close to you. He sees the questions you don’t know how to voice. He hears the sighs you don’t post online. Today, God invites you to step out of the swirl of anxiety and into the quiet strength of His presence. This is a new day, and He has fresh mercy with your name written on it.
Anchored in His Unshakable Word
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3, NIV)
Perfect peace isn’t a personality trait; it’s a promise. God doesn’t say He will remove every storm, but He does say He will steady the mind that chooses to lean on Him. A steadfast mind is not a mind that never struggles; it’s a mind that keeps turning back to God again and again. Today, when anxious thoughts start to spiral, you get to decide what you will cling to—your fear, or His faithfulness. Isaiah 26:3 reminds you that peace is not found in having everything figured out, but in trusting the One who already has.
Living Steady When Life Feels Shaky
Some days it feels easier to scroll than to pray, to complain than to believe. Yet spiritual growth happens in the small, hidden choices we make over and over. When you choose to speak God’s promises over your day instead of rehearsing your worries, your heart begins to change. When you pause in the middle of a hectic schedule to whisper, “Lord, I trust You with this,” you are training your soul to lean on Him.
Today, you can practice steadfast trust in simple ways: turning off the noise for five minutes to breathe and invite the Holy Spirit in; writing one Scripture on a sticky note and placing it where you’ll see it often; choosing forgiveness in a conversation where you’d rather defend yourself. These seemingly small acts of obedience open wide the door for God’s peace to flood your life.
Drawing Near in Faith and Spiritual Growth
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring my faith before You today. Strengthen what feels weak. Where doubt has crept in, wash it away with the truth of Your Word. Help me to love You with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly and to obey more quickly. Grow in me a hunger for Your presence and a desire to walk in step with Your Spirit. Let my roots go down deep into Your love so that no circumstance can uproot my confidence in You. Take every fear, every anxious thought, and transform them into opportunities to trust You more fully.
Covering Our Homes with God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. You see every unspoken tension, every silent worry, every unhealed wound within our homes. Bring Your peace into our conversations and Your kindness into our responses. Heal broken relationships. Give us patience with each other. Protect our marriages, our children, our parents, and our extended families. May our homes be sanctuaries of Your presence—places where Your name is honored and Your love is felt. Teach us to pray together, laugh together, forgive quickly, and stand united in Christ.
Health, Healing, and Inner Renewal
Heavenly Father, You are the God who heals. I place my body, mind, and emotions before You. Where there is pain, bring relief and restoration. Where there is sickness, release healing and strength. Calm every anxious thought and soothe every weary heart. Renew my energy for the responsibilities I carry. Help me make wise choices about rest, food, and caring for the body You have given me. Heal emotional scars, traumas, and disappointments that still whisper lies into my soul. Let Your joy be medicine to my heart, and Your presence be the atmosphere in which I recover and thrive.
Trusting God with Work and Provision
Lord, I surrender my work, my career, my dreams, and my finances into Your hands. You see the deadlines, the pressures, the uncertainties. Open doors that no one can shut, and close every door that is
