Someone once said that one of the hardest parts of being a Christian is that it is so daily. And that is true. Every day, we must rise again, choose faith again, and walk with God again. But here is the wonderful truth: although the Christian life is daily, the eternal Spirit of God lives within every believer. Through His strength, we are empowered to do what we could never accomplish on our own.

We proclaim the Gospel with our words, but we also reveal the Gospel through the way we live. People need to see the presence of Jesus Christ reflected in us. What fills our hearts should be visible in our attitudes, actions, and expressions. This does not mean believers must appear cheerful every moment of the day, but when Christians truly walk with the Lord, as the Apostle Paul teaches in the Book of Colossians, there is a noticeable difference in the quality of their lives.

Today, digital platforms like YouTube have become powerful tools for spreading the message of Jesus Christ around the world. Every subscription, every shared message, and every act of support helps bring the Gospel to people who may never enter a church or watch a traditional Christian broadcast. Together, believers can use these modern platforms to reach the nations with the hope of Christ.

Despite the troubling signs of the times and the growing evidence of the last days, the Gospel remains victorious. The message of Jesus Christ continues to overcome darkness, transform lives, and offer eternal hope. Through every generation, the power of Christ has endured, and it will continue to triumph until the very end.

For more than seventy years, Billy Graham faithfully preached through wars, social unrest, economic crises, and cultural upheaval. Yet throughout every season, his message never changed. His life reflected the same conviction expressed by the Apostle Paul when he declared, “I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

The Gospel alone has the power to overcome the challenges facing our culture today.

In the Book of Colossians, Paul defines the Gospel with incredible clarity. He explains that God has delivered believers from the power of darkness and brought them into the kingdom of His beloved Son. Through Jesus Christ, we receive redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins.

Without Christ, humanity remains trapped in spiritual darkness and under the grip of Satan. But because of God’s immeasurable love, Jesus shed His blood on the cross to redeem sinners and offer complete forgiveness. He rose again from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and now reigns with supreme authority. The moment a person believes the Gospel and receives Christ by faith, God welcomes them into His family and brings them into His eternal kingdom.

That is the triumph of the Gospel.

The Gospel changes everything. It transforms individuals, marriages, children, grandchildren, and entire families. Nothing in this world has the power to change hearts and lives like the message of Jesus Christ.

Paul reminded the believers in Colossae that the Gospel had spread throughout the world and was continually bearing fruit. Even during the first century, the message of Christ was expanding rapidly across nations and cultures. Today, that mission continues with even greater reach.

Jesus Himself declared that the Gospel of the Kingdom would be preached throughout the whole world as a witness to every nation before the end comes. Never before in history have believers had such unprecedented opportunities to share the message of salvation globally.

The Gospel not only transforms lives; it also matures believers. Paul prayed that Christians would grow in wisdom, spiritual understanding, patience, strength, joy, and endurance. God does not simply call people to become Christians; He calls them to become mature followers of Christ.

Even as the world grows darker, God continues strengthening His people. The church advances. The Gospel spreads. Believers grow deeper in faith and bear fruit for the glory of God.

At the center of the Gospel stands Jesus Christ Himself. Paul describes Him as the image of the invisible God, the Creator of all things, the One who holds all creation together, and the head of the church. Christ is preeminent above everything.

The more clearly we see Jesus, the greater the Gospel becomes in our hearts. His death appears even more glorious. His resurrection becomes even more astonishing. Sin becomes more offensive, and God’s love becomes more precious.

When Jesus Christ truly becomes first in our lives, everything else begins to fall into its proper place.

The Christian life is built on surrender. In God’s kingdom, surrender leads to victory. When believers fully surrender their lives to Christ, they discover true peace, purpose, and spiritual strength.

One of the most powerful truths found in Colossians is this: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus lives within every believer. One day, Christians will see Him face to face and share forever in His eternal glory.

Because Christ lives in us, we have confidence, hope, and assurance for eternity.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to preach the Gospel with our lips, demonstrate the Gospel through our lives, and practice the Gospel through love.

Paul urged believers to walk in Christ, rooted and established in faith. Christians are not called to merely claim the name of Jesus; they are called to live like Him. The Christian life should reflect genuine transformation.

The word “walk” in Scripture speaks of a continual daily lifestyle. Following Christ is not a one-time moment but a lifelong journey of faith, obedience, and spiritual growth. Every day, believers must choose again to walk with God.

Yet we never walk alone. The Spirit of God empowers us daily.

Paul also emphasized the importance of love, calling it “the bond of perfection.” Jesus was full of grace and truth, and believers are called to reflect both truth and love in the way they live and interact with others.

Near the end of Colossians, Paul gave a personal instruction to a man named Archippus: “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”

That message still speaks powerfully today.

God has given every believer a purpose, a calling, and specific work to accomplish for His kingdom. Christians are not meant to waste their lives or spiritually retire from serving God. Every season of life offers new opportunities to serve Christ faithfully.

Many people step away from ministry just when experience and wisdom have prepared them to become most effective. But God desires His people to remain faithful until the very end.

Jesus Himself declared, “I must be about My Father’s business.” And at the end of His earthly ministry, He said, “I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.”

Notice that Jesus did not say He completed every possible task in the world. He completed the work the Father specifically assigned to Him.

In the same way, God has entrusted each believer with unique gifts, responsibilities, and opportunities for His glory. The goal is not to do everything, but to faithfully complete what God has called us to do.

The Apostle Paul declared that his life meant nothing unless he used it to finish the work assigned to him by the Lord Jesus: sharing the Good News of God’s grace.

The Gospel remains the only true light in a dark and broken world. Its power is unlimited. The message of Jesus Christ can illuminate any life, remove every shadow, and offer eternal hope.

Believers are not defeated people. They are not without direction or purpose. Through the Gospel, Christians know where they are going and who is leading them there.

Because of Jesus Christ, believers are more than conquerors.

No matter what struggles, fears, or uncertainties people may face, Christ remains their victory, their guide, and their eternal hope. Even as the world around us shakes, Jesus Christ reigns at the right hand of the Father, interceding for His people and preparing an eternal home for all who trust in Him.

And one day, every faithful believer longs to hear these glorious words:

“Well done, good and faithful servant. Welcome home.”
