This Is How We Fight Our Battles (Full Sermon) | Joseph Prince
The Lord Fights for You: Walking in His Victory” | Joseph Prince
The battle is the Lord’s. Those five words carry the grace you need this year. Whenever you face hardship, whisper them under your breath: “The battle is the Lord’s.”
Faith is not denial. It doesn’t pretend the problem isn’t there—it simply compares the problem to God and knows who is greater. That is the spirit of faith, a spirit the Lord delights in. He is looking for people who, even in trial, keep a good opinion of Him.
Some victories come quickly, others take time, but never doubt that God hears you. He loves it when you declare His faithfulness. Cancer, fear, depression—whatever the name, it must bow because the Lord fights for you.
Never believe the lies that you are worthless or defined by failure. God has already declared your worth: so precious that He gave His Son for you. Your difference is your beauty, not your shame.
When you leave moments of worship or fellowship and return to your daily battles, do not think God’s presence has left. He is with you in a special way. Sing His Word over your life, because perfect love casts out fear. The Bible promises good days—plural—for His children, while trials are called the evil day—singular. Your good days far outweigh your evil ones.
As the world grows darker, the church will shine brighter. Even the smallest light is seen clearly in deep darkness. You are that light, reflecting the glory of Jesus. Do not neglect gathering together, especially as the day of His return draws near. He will come for His church, and nothing in this fallen world can shake that hope.
You are not bound by the economy or kingdoms of this world. You live as an ambassador of heaven, supplied by the resources of your true homeland. “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” And when Christ returns, we will receive the final promise: a glorified body that will never decay, never grow weak, never die. Forever young, forever strong—forever with Him.
Look at Israel. Just a century ago, the nation did not exist. Yet God promised to gather His people, and in 1948, the prophecy was fulfilled. In 1967, against impossible odds, Israel recaptured Jerusalem in just six days—just as Joshua conquered Jericho in seven. These signs remind us: we are living in the generation that sees prophecy unfold. Wars, earthquakes, pestilences—all of these are markers Jesus foretold. But when you see them, do not fear. Lift up your eyes, for your redemption draws near.
Some of you will never taste death. When Christ comes, we who are alive will be caught up with Him, transformed in an instant. No more sickness, no more weakness—only glory.
The Lord also wants you to live now in the blessings He has prepared. Just as He promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, He calls you to possess your possessions in Christ. Too often, believers see the giants instead of the grapes. They magnify the enemy instead of God’s goodness. Joshua and Caleb saw differently: “If God delights in us, He will give us the land.” Their confidence was not in themselves but in God’s love.
Beloved, the same is true for you. God delights in you. He has prepared joy, healing, provision, and peace—not as burdens but as blessings to be received. The world’s pleasures leave hangovers and emptiness, but the joy of the Lord increases without end. His blessings are abundant, overflowing, and eternal.
Step by step, take hold of what Christ died to give you. Don’t let the enemy squat on your inheritance. Healing, provision, restoration—these belong to you because of Jesus. The battle is not yours. The battle is the Lord’s. And because He has already won, you can walk in His victory today.
