How To Beat That Sin For Good

We are in a battle, whether we’re aware of it or not. The enemy uses his strategies against us. Jonathan Cahn reveals the keys of how you can turn everything around. How to reverse setbacks into victory!

Victory in Spiritual Warfare: How to Overcome Sin and Defeat the Enemy

The enemy feeds off sin. He thrives only on what you give him. When you feed sin, it grows stronger, and you will lose the battle. But when you starve sin, it weakens and eventually dies. To walk in victory, you must first believe that victory is possible. If you don’t believe you can overcome, you won’t fight for it—and you won’t win.

In Christ, you already have victory. But if you don’t believe it, you won’t act on it, and you won’t turn your life around. Even if you’ve been losing the same battle over and over—whether yesterday, last week, or even this very morning—God’s power can change everything. If you stand in His strength, you can rise up and live victoriously.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 2:11 not to be ignorant of the devil’s schemes, and in verse 14 he declares: “Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ.” God’s plan is always to lead His people to victory—but you must choose to follow His lead.

The Cost of Victory in Spiritual Warfare

Jesus said in Luke 14:31 that any king going to war first counts the cost. In the same way, if you want victory in your spiritual battles, you must be willing to pay the price. Many believers remain weak because they want triumph without sacrifice.

  • If you want to be strong in the Spirit, you must spend more time with God.

  • If you want purity, you must resist temptation and let go of what doesn’t belong in your life.

  • If you want wholeness, you must surrender unhealthy habits and distractions.

Victory always requires a cost, but the reward is worth far more.

The Power of Truth in Battle

In war, uncertainty of information leads to defeat. Spiritually, if you doubt God’s Word, you will live in weakness. But when you are sure of His promises—His love, His salvation, His eternal truth—you walk in confidence and victory. Be certain of what God has spoken. Stand firm on His Word, even when you can’t yet see the results.

Focus Your Energy for Breakthrough

Any army that tries to fight everywhere at once will lose. Victory comes by focusing strength on the breakthrough point. In your spiritual life, focus your prayers, your faith, and your obedience on the area where you need breakthrough. Don’t be scattered and distracted. The enemy wins when he spreads you thin. God’s power is revealed when you live with focus and determination.
