Steven Furtick Daily Devotional – October 21, 2026
If you woke up today feeling a little worn, a little uncertain, or even a little behind, this moment is for you. God has already stepped into your October 21, 2026. He is not surprised by what you’re facing, and He is not distant from what you’re feeling. As you read this devotional, imagine the Lord leaning in close, calling you by name, reminding you that you are seen, loved, and carried. This day is not random on God’s calendar. He has grace specifically prepared for you, right here, right now.
Standing On a Promise You Can’t See Yet
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NIV) This verse is simple but confronts everything in us that wants proof before we trust. Walking by faith means choosing God’s promise over our present feelings and circumstances. It doesn’t deny reality, but it acknowledges a greater reality: God is working in ways we can’t fully see. Today, this verse invites you to loosen your grip on what you think has to happen and tighten your grip on the One who holds all things together. Faith says, “God, I don’t have to see the whole path to know You’re leading my steps.”
When Your Heart Wants to Give Up Too Soon
Some battles linger longer than we expected. Maybe you’ve prayed for breakthrough in your family, your health, or your finances, and you’re wondering if anything is changing at all. Hear this: delay is not denial. The enemy wants you to interpret silence as abandonment, but your Savior is present in the waiting. Instead of asking, “How long?” try asking, “Lord, what are You growing in me through this?” Choose one area today where you feel discouraged, and speak life over it. Write down God’s promises, speak them out loud, and refuse to agree with hopelessness. Your faith is not measured by how loudly you shout, but by how quietly you keep trusting.
Lord, Stretch My Faith Without Breaking My Hope
Father, in Jesus’ name, I ask You to grow my faith today. When my thoughts rush toward fear, pull me back to Your truth. Teach me to rely on Your Word more than my emotions. Strengthen my spirit to believe that You are good even when my circumstances are hard. Break off every lie that tells me I am alone or forgotten. Fill me with fresh courage to obey You in small things, knowing that every step of obedience opens the door to Your purpose. Help me to trust Your timing and Your character, not just Your outcomes. Shape my faith into something steady, resilient, and deeply rooted in Your love.
Covering My Home in Your Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover our home with Your peace that silences chaos, arguments, and anxiety. Heal relationships that have grown cold or distant. Give us grace to apologize quickly, forgive fully, and speak gently. Protect our marriages, our children, our parents, and our friends. Let our homes become places where Your presence is felt—where laughter, prayer, and kindness drown out every attack of the enemy. Today, I ask that You restore what’s been strained, reconnect what’s been broken, and write a new story of unity and love over my household.
Healing For My Body and My Mind
Jesus, You are still the Healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions before You. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is sickness, release Your healing power. Where there is exhaustion, renew my strength like the eagle’s. Calm the storms in my thoughts—anxiety, depression, racing worries—and replace them with Your steady peace. Help me to make wise choices about rest, nutrition, and caring for this body You’ve entrusted to me. Let healing flow over every hidden place—past trauma, disappointment, and fear. Breathe new life into me today, from the inside out.
God, Step Into My Work and My Wallet
Father, I place my job, my career decisions, my business, and my finances in Your hands. You are my Source, not my paycheck. Provide opportunities that fit the gifts You’ve given me. Give me favor with bosses, coworkers, clients, and decision-makers. Where doors need to open, open them; where doors are not from You, close them clearly. Teach me stewardship—how to honor You with what I earn, spend,
