Michael Todd Daily Devotional – October 23, 2026: Trusting God in the In-Between

If you’re reading this today feeling a little stretched, a little unsure, or maybe standing between what God promised and what you currently see, this devotional is for you. God has not forgotten you. He sees the late-night tears, the quiet questions, the battles you don’t post about. On this October 23, 2026, let this be a holy pause—a moment to breathe, refocus, and remember that the God who began a good work in you will not walk away midway. He is present in the waiting, powerful in the struggle, and tender in the details of your life. You are not alone. You are being held.

Anchored by a Promise

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NIV) This verse reminds you that your life is not a random collection of events. God started something on purpose in you, and He is committed to finishing it. The “good work” includes your salvation, your transformation, and every step of growth along the way. Even when your progress feels slow or invisible, heaven sees movement. God is not a halfway God—He is a finishing God. When doubt whispers that you’re stuck, this verse speaks louder: you are still a work in progress, but you are also a work in process—God’s process.

Living Faithfully in the Middle

Most of life is lived in the middle—between the promise and the fulfillment. That’s where faith becomes more than words. Today, invite God into your ordinary routines: your commute, your meetings, your chores, your parenting, your quiet spaces. Choose one area where you’ve been trying to control everything—maybe your timeline, your image, or your future—and consciously place it in God’s hands. You might say, “Lord, I release my need to manage this. Lead me, and I will follow.” Then, look for one small act of obedience you can take today—making that phone call, apologizing, applying for the job, opening your Bible instead of scrolling. Faith grows one surrendered step at a time.

Prayer for Growing Faith and Deeper Trust

Lord Jesus, today I ask You to strengthen my faith. When my heart wavers, remind me of who You are—faithful, trustworthy, and unchanging. Teach me to believe Your Word more than my feelings and circumstances. Help me to grow spiritually, to desire Your presence more than quick answers. Strip away fear and replace it with confidence in Your character. Give me grace to wait well, obey quickly, and worship consistently, even when I do not see the full picture. I choose to trust that You are writing a better story for my life than I could ever write for myself.

Prayer Covering Home, Family, and Relationships

Father, I lift my family and relationships to You. Cover my home with Your peace. Let our conversations be filled with kindness, honesty, and grace. Heal any hurt, misunderstanding, or distance that has crept in. Strengthen marriages, restore broken connections, and protect our children—biological, adopted, spiritual, and future. Guard our hearts from resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness. Teach us to love each other the way You love us: patiently, sacrificially, and unconditionally. May our home be a place where Your presence is welcome, where Your name is honored, and where hope is always alive.

Prayer for Health, Strength, and Healing

God, I bring my body, mind, and emotions before You. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. Touch every place that is weak, weary, or wounded—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Give wisdom to doctors, therapists, and caregivers. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and calm any anxiety or depression trying to steal my joy. Help me treat my body as Your temple, making wise choices about rest, food, and movement. For any chronic pain, diagnosis, or hidden struggle, I ask for Your healing power to move. Remind me that even in sickness, I am not abandoned—you are with me in every breath.

Prayer for Work, Finances, and Daily Provision

Lord, You are my Source, not my paycheck, not my boss, not the economy. I place my work, career, and finances into Your hands. Open doors
