Priscilla Shirer Daily Devotional – October 26, 2026
If your heart feels a little weary today, you are not alone. Many of God’s children wake up carrying worries about their families, their health, their bank accounts, and the uncertainty of tomorrow. Yet, right here in the middle of real life, God is inviting you to breathe, to lean in, and to remember that you are held. Today’s devotional, inspired by the teaching ministry of Priscilla Shirer, is a reminder that the Lord is not distant from your struggle—He is present, attentive, and working behind the scenes for your good and His glory.
Anchored in His Unshakable Word
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” (Isaiah 26:3, NIV)
Perfect peace may sound impossible when the news is heavy and your phone keeps buzzing with new problems. Yet God makes this promise to those whose minds are “steadfast”—fixed, stayed, rooted in Him. This doesn’t mean you never feel fear; it means you bring your fear to the Father instead of letting it rule your heart. When you deliberately turn your thoughts toward who God is—faithful, powerful, loving, wise—your inner storm begins to quiet. Your circumstances may not change immediately, but the atmosphere inside your soul does. Peace is not the absence of problems; it is the presence of God guarding your heart and mind as you trust Him.
Choosing Trust in the Middle of the Unknown
Trust is a decision you will make again and again today. When an unexpected bill arrives, you can choose to panic or to pause and say, “Lord, You are my Provider.” When conflict stirs in your home, you can choose to react from hurt or to respond from the Spirit, asking God for gentle words and a soft heart. Spiritual growth happens in these small, ordinary moments. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you catch your thoughts before they spiral and to replace them with truth from God’s Word. Turn on worship music during your commute. Whisper Scripture under your breath while you wait in line. Keep a journal of answered prayers so you can look back and see His fingerprints all over your story. Little choices of faith, stacked day after day, build a life anchored in Christ.
Lord, Deepen My Faith Today
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring You my faith—small, fragile, and sometimes shaken. Strengthen what feels weak in me. Teach me to lean on Your promises instead of my emotions. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word so that my mind becomes steady and steadfast. Where doubt has crept in, shine Your light of truth. Help me to surrender control, to let go of what I cannot fix, and to rest in the assurance that You are God and I am not. Lead me into deeper intimacy with You, and let every difficulty become a doorway to greater trust and spiritual maturity.
Covering My Home and Loved Ones
Lord, I place my family and loved ones in Your mighty hands. Cover our homes with Your peace. Heal broken communication, soften hardened hearts, and restore what has been damaged by anger, disappointment, or distance. Draw each person in my household closer to You. Let our conversations be seasoned with grace and kindness. Protect our marriages, strengthen parents, and surround our children and grandchildren with godly influences. May our homes be places where Your presence is welcomed, Your name is honored, and Your love is felt in every room.
Health, Healing, and Inner Strength
God, You know every ache, diagnosis, and silent health concern I carry. I bring my body, mind, and emotions to You. Release healing where there is pain and wisdom where doctors need clarity. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and calm anxiety and stress. Guard my sleep and help me care for this body as Your temple. Heal emotional wounds—trauma, grief, and hidden fears. Let Your joy be medicine to my soul and Your presence be the place where my nervous heart can rest. In Jesus’ name, I ask for wholeness and renewed strength.
Work, Finances, and Daily Provision
Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, I invite You into my work and finances. Give me diligence, excellence, and integrity in everything I do. Open doors of opportunity that no one can shut, and close doors that are not from You. For those looking for employment, Lord, arrange divine connections and
