Michael Todd Daily Devotional – October 16, 2026

Some mornings you wake up strong in faith, and other mornings you wake up feeling like you’re barely holding it together. If today feels heavy, you are not alone—and you are not a disappointment to God. Right now, in this exact moment, He sees you, He loves you, and He’s not backing away from your story. As you read this devotional, imagine the Holy Spirit sitting with you at your kitchen table, in your car, or in your office, whispering, “I’m not finished with you yet.” Today is an invitation to trust God one more time, to hope again, and to believe that what He’s building in you is greater than what you see around you.

Anchored by a Promise

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5–6, NKJV)
This verse meets us where we wrestle the most—our understanding. We like clear answers, timelines, and explanations, but God calls us to something deeper: trust. Trust means choosing His word over our worry, His character over our confusion, and His promises over our perspective. When we acknowledge Him—in our decisions, emotions, and even our doubts—He doesn’t just observe our lives; He directs our paths. Your steps today are not random. They are being guided by a Father who sees the entire journey at once.

Growing Faith in the Middle, Not Just the Miracle

We often celebrate the big breakthrough moments, but most of the Christian life is lived in the middle—between the promise and the manifestation. That “middle place” can feel messy: delayed answers, unanswered questions, and hidden battles that nobody else sees. Yet, this is where faith quietly grows roots. Today, instead of waiting to praise God until everything makes sense, choose to worship Him in the unclear, unfinished parts of your story. Speak His word over your anxiety. Invite Him into your schedule. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond with patience instead of irritation, prayer instead of panic, and surrender instead of control. Spiritual growth rarely looks glamorous, but heaven celebrates every small “yes” you give God in the everyday moments.

Praying for Unshakable Faith

Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my faith journey before You. Where I feel weak, breathe new strength into me. Where doubt has taken up space in my heart, replace it with fresh trust in Your goodness. Teach me to lean on You more than my emotions, my past experiences, or my own logic. Grow in me a faith that doesn’t collapse when life shifts, but stands firm on Your word. Help me to remember that You are working even when I cannot see it. Let my faith not be built on feelings, but on who You are—faithful, steady, and true. Align my desires with Your will, and help me walk by faith and not by sight today.

Covering Our Homes with God’s Peace

Lord, I surrender my family, my home, and every relationship into Your hands. Step into the places of tension, silence, or misunderstanding and bring Your healing. Restore communication where words have been sharp or distant. Surround my spouse, children, parents, and loved ones with Your presence. Let our home be a refuge from stress and chaos—a place where Your peace rules and Your love is felt. Protect our unity from the enemy’s schemes. Teach us to forgive quickly, to listen with compassion, and to speak life over one another. May Your Spirit transform our home into a living testimony of Your grace.

Health, Healing, and Inner Strength

Jesus, You are the healer of bodies, minds, and hearts. I bring my health, and the health of my loved ones, before You. Touch every place of pain, disease, fatigue, or imbalance. Strengthen immune systems, regulate blood pressure, calm anxious thoughts, and restore peaceful sleep. Where there is emotional heaviness, pour out comfort. Heal old wounds, break cycles of fear and shame, and renew my mind with Your truth. Give me wisdom to care for my body—Your temple—with rest, nourishment, and balance. Let Your resurrection power be at work in every cell of my body and every corner of my inner life.

Inviting God into Work and Finances

Lord, I invite You into my work, my dreams, and my finances. You are my source, not my
