God’s Promises Are for You – Will You Claim Them?

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). It’s time for God’s people to step into that victorious, abundant, purpose-driven life!

Today, I want to talk about one of my favorite topics—possessing the promises of God. The Bible is not just a book; it is a divine manual filled with promises, hope, and life. I cannot stand when people reduce it to a set of rigid rules, using it to condemn rather than uplift. This book speaks to every area of our lives—spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational. It is a book of promise and hope!

And here’s the best part: when God makes a promise, He keeps it. Unlike human promises that can be broken—whether by a child crossing their fingers behind their back or by someone who vowed to stay but walked away—God’s Word never fails. Numbers 23:19 declares, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

Every promise God has made is yes and amen in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). He promises to never leave us nor forsake us. He promises that all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in the darkest seasons, when things seem broken beyond repair, God is at work—turning your trials into triumphs for His glory.

God promises salvation, healing, and deliverance. No wonder the enemy wants to keep us from reading this book! If he can convince us that the Bible is outdated or irrelevant, we won’t tap into the life-changing power of God’s Word. But this book is alive! It brings healing, restoration, and breakthrough.

So, why do some people walk in God’s promises while others don’t? Does God play favorites? Absolutely not! Every believer has access to the same promises, the same blessings, and the same favor. But not everyone is willing to step out in faith and take hold of what God has already provided.
