Sarah Jakes Roberts – Daily Devotional for October 25, 2026

If your heart feels a little tired today, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve been showing up for everyone else, holding it together on the outside while quietly wondering if God really sees you on the inside. As you read this, imagine the Lord leaning close, calling you by name, reminding you that you are not invisible, not forgotten, not too far gone. Today’s devotional is a gentle pause in your busy day—an invitation to breathe, reset, and let God speak life, hope, and fresh courage into your soul.

Anchored by a Quiet Promise

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14, NIV) In this verse, God speaks to His people at the edge of the Red Sea, when everything looked impossible. They had no strategy, no backup plan, and nowhere to run—yet God said, “Be still.” This wasn’t a call to passivity; it was an invitation to trust. In the same way, God is whispering to you today: “You don’t have to handle this alone. I am already working behind the scenes.” Stillness in God’s presence becomes your strongest weapon because it shifts the battle from your hands to His.

When Your Faith Feels Fragile

There are days when faith doesn’t feel bold—it feels barely there. You might be trying to pray but your mind is scattered, or you read the Bible and feel numb. God isn’t disappointed in your weakness; He meets you in it. Instead of waiting to feel “super spiritual,” bring Him your real, unfiltered heart. Whisper, “Lord, this is all I have today,” and trust that He can multiply your little into more than enough. Take a small step: speak one promise out loud, write a short gratitude list, or pause for two minutes to invite the Holy Spirit into your schedule. Small obediences open big doors to God’s presence.

Drawing Closer in Faith and Surrender

Father, in Jesus’ name, I surrender my doubts, fears, and hidden insecurities to You. Where my faith is weak, strengthen me. Where my vision is cloudy, clear my spiritual eyes. I invite You into my decisions, my habits, and my desires. Teach me to trust Your timing when I feel rushed and impatient. Help me choose Your word over my worries, Your truth over my emotions, and Your presence over every distraction. Grow my spiritual roots deep so that when the winds of life blow, I remain grounded in Your love, steady in Your peace, and confident in Your faithfulness.

Covering My Home in Peace

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover my home with Your presence and peace. Heal any unspoken hurts, misunderstandings, or disappointments. Restore connection where there has been distance and soften hearts where there has been tension. Protect our children—by birth, by choice, and by influence. Guard their minds, friendships, and futures. Bless marriages, strengthen single parents, comfort the lonely, and knit families together in unity. Let love, forgiveness, and grace be the language of our homes. May our households reflect Your heart—a place where people feel safe, seen, and deeply loved.

Health, Healing, and Inner Strength

God, I place my body, mind, and emotions into Your caring hands. For every ache, diagnosis, or quiet fear about my health, I ask for Your healing power. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and calm any anxiety or stress that tries to wear me down. Heal what doctors can’t see—the emotional wounds, the buried grief, the exhaustion of always having to be “strong.” Teach me to care for the body You’ve given me with wisdom, rest, and discipline. Let Your joy be my strength, Your peace steady my heartbeat, and Your presence be the medicine that reaches the deepest parts of my soul.

Work, Finances, and God-Given Opportunity

Lord, You see my responsibilities, bills, deadlines, and dreams. I invite You into my work and finances today. Open doors that no one can shut, and close doors that are not from You. Grant me wisdom to make sound decisions, discernment to recognize godly opportunities, and integrity in every assignment. For the one searching for employment, make a way. For the one overwhelmed at work, provide support and clarity. For financial pressure and debt, release creative strategies, favor, and provision.
