Dr. Bill Winston Daily Devotional – October 23, 2026: Standing Strong in Unshakable Faith

If your heart feels a little weary today, you are not alone. All across America, believers are lifting silent prayers between meetings, at kitchen sinks, in cars, and in hospital rooms. God sees you right where you are. This devotional is a gentle reminder that your life is not random, your struggles are not wasted, and your future is not fragile. The God who called you is faithful, and He has not changed His mind about you. Today, as you pause with this daily prayer, let the Holy Spirit breathe new courage, fresh hope, and bold faith into your spirit.

Anchored in the Unseen

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV) This short verse carries a powerful invitation. God is teaching you to live by what He has spoken, not by what you see on the surface. Walking by faith does not mean denying reality; it means refusing to let reality have the final word over God’s promises. Bills, doctor’s reports, strained relationships, and unanswered questions may shout for your attention, but faith listens for the whisper of God’s voice. Today, the Lord calls you to step away from fear-based reactions and step into faith-filled responses. Your faith is not blind; it is focused—fixed on the absolute reliability of your heavenly Father.

Faith for Ordinary Moments

Sometimes we think faith is only for big breakthroughs—miracles, promotions, dramatic healings. But faith is also for the little things: the patience you need in traffic, the grace you need with your children, the wisdom to answer a tense email, the strength to keep going when no one is cheering you on. Faith is trusting that God is actively present in every corner of your day. As you make your coffee, invite Him in. As you go to work, welcome His guidance. As worries creep in, speak His Word out loud. Let Scripture shape your inner dialogue. When anxiety says, “What if it all falls apart?” let faith answer, “My God shall supply all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Your life becomes a testimony not only in the extraordinary, but in the quiet, ordinary obedience of daily trust.

Drawing Near in Growing Faith

Father, today I bring my faith before You. I confess that there are days I feel small, overwhelmed, or uncertain, but I choose to trust You anyway. Restore to me the joy of my salvation and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Help me to grow beyond comfortable Christianity and move into courageous, obedient faith. Let my thoughts align with Your Word and my words agree with Your promises. Strengthen my inner man so that I stand firm when life feels unstable. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly, to obey quickly, and to believe boldly. Lord, increase my hunger for Your presence, my love for Your truth, and my confidence in Your character. I receive fresh grace to walk by faith and not by sight, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Covering Our Homes in God’s Peace

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Cover our home with Your peace that passes all understanding. Heal every hidden wound, soften hardened hearts, and restore broken connections. Let forgiveness flow where there has been hurt or disappointment. Teach us to speak words that build up and not tear down. Protect marriages, strengthen parents, and guide children and grandchildren into Your perfect will. May Your presence fill our home so fully that fear, division, and confusion must leave. Let love, honor, and unity be the atmosphere of our relationships. I declare that as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Grace for Health and Wholeness

Heavenly Father, I bring my body, mind, and emotions before You. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. I ask You to touch every part of my being with Your restoring power. Strengthen my immune system, regulate every function, and heal what doctors cannot see. For anyone battling sickness, pain, or chronic conditions, let Your healing presence minister comfort and breakthrough. Calm anxious thoughts, lift depression, and break the power of fear. Help me to honor You with healthy choices, wise rest, and a renewed mindset. I receive Your promise that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed, and I thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
