Even daily routines can become sacred when we live in partnership with God. I love the idea of “doing life with God,” a perspective He blessed me with. Whether it’s Monday or any other day, each day is precious to me because I do it with Him. It took me a while to grasp this fully, but it’s not about fulfilling religious duties—it’s about a genuine relationship with God, who has already done so much for us. Religion often teaches us to try to earn our way to God, but the truth lies in embracing the relationship He offers.

A Christian bookstore is no holier than a financial office, and a missionary calling is no more sacred than being a stay-at-home parent. Raising children is a holy calling, just as preaching is. In truth, the thought of handling five kids daily makes me more nervous than standing here speaking! Back then, I raised four kids in a small three-room apartment, with one car and little money. Yet, God gave me the grace to handle what was needed at that time.

Please, never underestimate what you do. Whether you’re a janitor, a teacher, or in any role, it’s all holy work when done in Christ. Our value isn’t defined by our role—it’s rooted in Jesus, who gave His life for us. Those of us in visible roles must remember not to look down on others because we are all equal in Christ.

After studying the Word for over 40 years, I’m continually amazed by its depth. Recently, a familiar scripture revealed new insights: Whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. I’m taking this verse to heart and forming a new habit: inviting God into everything I do, whether it’s speaking, dressing, or planning.

When we take a moment to verbalize our intentions and thank God, it strengthens our commitment and keeps us mindful of His presence. Join me on this journey to make every day sacred by doing it all in His name.
