Next on “In Touch,” Part One of “When It’s Wise to Wait.” Dr. Charles Stanley: “Right timing is critical. It matters in warfare, science, sports, business, and even in personal interactions like love or anger. In every area of life, timing plays a significant role, and it can be especially crucial in a believer’s spiritual walk.”
Timing in our relationship with Christ and with others is of great importance. Many may not realize that timing is just as crucial in our spiritual journey. In today’s message, “When It’s Wise to Wait,” Dr. Stanley explores the importance of waiting on the Lord and how it aligns with His perfect timing.
Dr. Stanley continues: “When we wait on God, we are not passively sitting around. It is an active, expectant process, where we remain in our current situation, awaiting further instructions from God. We may seek His guidance through His Word, through others, or through changes in our circumstances. Waiting is not inactivity, but an intentional focus on God’s intervention.”
Why is it wise to wait upon the Lord? First, God often provides clear direction when we wait for His guidance. Unlike the world’s quick-paced lifestyle, believers should not mimic the actions of others. As Christians, we are set apart, walking to the rhythm of God’s will, and it’s important to trust in His timing over the world’s expectations.
