Under the Shadow of the Almighty – Part 3 (Romans 11:7-24)
Before we dive into today’s study, I want to briefly highlight something that ties directly into our message and the times we’re living in. Truly, you are witnessing history in real-time. These are the moments that, if God grants us time, you’ll recount to your children and grandchildren—though we hope the Lord returns before then. What we’re seeing today with nations like Russia, China, and North Korea aligning, and their joint efforts to dethrone the U.S. dollar, is historic. Major global players are backing Russia’s push to replace the dollar, deeming it ineffective due to America’s overwhelming debt. This brings to mind biblical prophecies on new currencies, underscoring the relevance of Scripture.
China, one of America’s largest creditors, is actively debating whether to call in its loans to the U.S., amounting to trillions. Imagine China demanding immediate repayment on a 30-day deadline. Just as a bank can foreclose if a mortgage goes unpaid, the terms dictate that if the U.S. defaults, China could claim American businesses, land, or assets. While this scenario once seemed impossible, recent years have shown us that “impossible” is constantly being redefined. We are indeed in profound times, so stay vigilant, keep praying, and keep your eyes on Christ.
Just in the last 48 hours, Israel has also made a historic move. There was initial panic among some about Israel’s response to Iran’s recent, unprecedented missile attack, which involved launching nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Remarkably, by God’s grace, no casualties were reported. Many expected a massive retaliation from Israel, perhaps even a nuclear strike. Yet, Israel’s strategic response was unexpected and powerful. In a calculated, overnight operation involving 120 aircraft, Israel disrupted Iran’s capabilities significantly. The morning after, Israelis woke up to a calm announcement from their national defense system to go about their day as usual. This was a clear message to Israel’s citizens and the world: Iran had been effectively neutralized, and Israel’s confidence in their security measures was absolute.
This mission, involving specialized Israeli aircraft with advanced technology that no other nation possesses, rendered Iran’s defenses powerless. Not a single advanced Russian-made surface-to-air missile detected Israeli presence during the three-hour operation over Syria, Iraq, and Iran. It’s astounding to consider the technology and precision in play here, which we’ll delve into more in an upcoming podcast.
Let’s stand now, united in prayer and reverence, as we enter this time of study.
