True Holiness -Sunday Service
Thank you all for your incredible support! It has truly made this fall festival a step up from our first one. People are having a wonderful time, and we’re blessed to have an opportunity to reach and bless families in such a meaningful way.
As we prepare for the offering, I want to share a passage to remind us of the spirit behind giving. This is a time to sow seeds generously, trusting in God’s grace. Let’s look at 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, first from the King James Version, then from the Mirror Translation.
In verse 6, it says, “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” And verse 7 continues, “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Verse 8 promises, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.”
The Mirror Translation puts it beautifully. It highlights that when we give liberally, we will experience a generous harvest. Our giving should flow from a place of gratitude, not from pressure or obligation. Jesus has blessed us with the incredible gift of grace, freeing us from legalistic expectations.
God desires our hearts—He wants us to give willingly and joyfully, not because we feel forced. Let’s allow our giving to be a reflection of His abundant love. As we give, let it be an expression of gratitude for the grace and care He’s shown us.
Father, we are grateful for this chance to give. We thank You for Your faithfulness, Your provision, and Your grace. May our offering today reflect the blessings You’ve given us, as we sow generously and joyfully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Let’s receive the offering with a spirit of generosity, honoring God in the same way He has blessed us.
