The Woman, The Flower, & The Love Test | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
The Woman, The Flower, & The Love Test
“God’s will is that none should perish. Judgement isn’t His desire…but His necessity. The good must bring evil to an end, or else it would cease to be good. And yet His mercy is still greater than His judgement. His heart always wills for redemption. And therein lies the hope.”
― Jonathan Cahn, The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery that Holds the Secret of America’s Future
Dear Lord,
Today…….I am asking all my prayer warriors to say a prayer that may help others. So many people are hurting right now. Many are struggling with finances and need jobs. Some are facing foreclosure and don’t even know how they are going to make it from week to week.. Many are lonely. . Many are heartbroken. . Many are facing sickness and health is fading. . Some are dealing with difficult family members. Many have lost HOPE.. Tonight, let us put our prayers and faith together decree and declare breakthrough over our families. Financial miracles WILL take place. Jobs WILL be found. Our Bodies WILL be made whole & sickness WILL flee. Marriages and relationships WILL be restored. Family members WILL find Jesus. Heartbreaks WILL be healed. JOY WILL be restored and HOPE WILL be found. In Jesus Name. Amen!!!!!! Keep God First…….
And to love him. Not just because he can do this and this and this.
There’s some people who preach, you know, God will do this. God will work for you. It’s not about that.
It’s about God. God will do things and God will bless you. But it’s about God.
It’s not about the thing. Otherwise, it’s like loving somebody getting married and you love them because of their money.
How is that love? So the story of a man who went into the army in World War Two and while stationed ready to go overseas, he was in the camp library.
He found a book that was used, I guess donated it had notes in it from a woman and he fell in love with a woman by her, right at what she was writing and he found her address in the book and he wrote to her and she answered, they started a relationship.
He fell all the more in love with her.
By her words, he went overseas, he fought, he kept corresponding throughout World War Two.
And then he came home and arranged finally to meet her, never saw her.
She never sent a photograph of herself. They arranged to meet at a train station.
She told him she’d be holding a particular kind of flower in her hand.
He went there, waited all of a sudden he saw the flower.
It was in the hands of an old lady, white hair, grandmotherly. He stood there shocked, disappointed.
And then a stunningly beautiful young woman in a green dress, walked by him said, hi soldier and walked by.
He wanted to respond to her and actually go but he made a decision.
No, that would be wrong if I did that. And that’s not the one that I was writing to.
And so and and the he thought, I mean on one hand, the well the if I did this, the other one would never know.
But he didn’t and said he went up to the elderly woman.
He said hello, I am John something his name. So I’m so glad to finally meet you.
She answered young man. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
He said, but you have a flower.
She said, I don’t know what this is all about, but some woman gave me the flower and told me to wait for you to see if you would come up to me.
He said, who said that young woman in the green dress?
It was the woman that passed him by. It was a test of love.
It was the test of love. And he did he forsook that for love.
So God is looking at you in your life, every moment, the choices you make. Are you putting him first?
Are you loving him? Do you love me more than these? He said, Simon Peter.
