With God Before You Sleep!
I pray that the Spirit of God will comfort, heal and strengthen you during this Monday night.
I pray that the Lord will surround you with His presence, love, and grace this Monday night.
Psalm 91:1-2 offers assurance of God’s protection: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” (KJV). Trusting in God’s protection allows us to rest without fear.
Matthew 11:28-30 invites us to find rest in Jesus: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (KJV). This passage reassures us that we can find true rest in Jesus.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
My Father God, thank You for this moment, for this night You have given me, and for this day that I have lived. Thank You for allowing me to be in Your presence to offer this simple prayer to Your glorious name. May this humble prayer reach Your ears as a sign of my gratitude and total surrender to You.
I ask that You grant me the perseverance to keep this nightly appointment in Your presence. Merciful Father, I ask for forgiveness because I have let myself be led by my weaknesses and have strayed from Your side. But I thank You for not letting me wander far. Thank You for meeting me and welcoming me into Your merciful arms.
My God, thank You because Your love works within me, dispelling all the negative and harmful feelings I might have with Your redeeming work. I ask that tonight You free me from all negative emotions that steal my peace and distance me from You. My Lord, grant me Your healing grace and help me grow in friendship with You.
Help me transform my negative emotions and thoughts into good attitudes that build up. Father, I want others to see Your loving action in my testimony, and I want my words to offer the comfort that comes from You. Let my steps continue on the path of the cross of Your Son, Jesus Christ, with the assurance that resurrection follows.
Thank You for allowing me to end this day with my family and for giving me the opportunity to pray for all those who are distant from You. I want to offer them to You so that You may bless them, so that in their difficult moments, they may discover You and turn to You, recognizing that You are the only true way.
I offer You every beat of my heart as a praise to You. Tonight, I ask that You grant me the peace and rest I need to renew my strength. I pray for all those who do not have a home to rest in, for those who live on the streets and spend cold and lonely nights. Send angels into their lives to provide them with help, protection, and hope.
Thank You, Lord, for all the blessings You pour out on me and my loved ones. I ask that You help me be a light in the lives of others, that I may reflect Your love and kindness in all my actions. Give me the wisdom to make the right decisions and the strength to face any challenges that arise.
Bless my family and friends, protect their lives, and fill their hearts with Your love. May we remain united in love and faith, supporting one another and growing together in Your presence. I also pray for those who are far from their loved ones, that they may feel Your closeness and comfort.
Tonight, Lord, I offer You my dreams, my worries, and my desires. I trust that You will guide and protect me as I rest and that I will wake up tomorrow refreshed and ready to face a new day under Your guidance and protection.
Lord, before I go to sleep, I ask that You fill me with the gifts of Your Holy Spirit that shelter and heal me. Amen.
