The greatest joys I’ve known have been in his presence and in his will delighting in him.
You might say, but I just don’t feel like that It’s okay. Good news.
You don’t have to feel like anything. It doesn’t say feel like it. It says delight yourself.

What is it that you know you need to do? Rejoice in it.
What is it that you have to do? Rejoice in it. What are you what’s good and we must do?
Rejoice in it. Put your joy there. Exult. Delight in it. Look at the good in it. Celebrate it.
Put your delight there. You know, the bad foods? You know, we we gotta we gotta resist.
You know, and I and I’ve I’ve shared this, but it’s but it’s so true. You go into a supermarket.
Don’t go into a supermarket when you’re starving. And by the way, which I just did last night.
But it was my it wasn’t my fault.
My wife said we were out and with I was out with the kids, and my wife said we need food.
And she’s pregnant. We I gotta do whatever she says here. Yeah.
And so we’re, again, I’m in the supermarket, like, every other day right now.
And so if I’m starving, I actually but I but actually what I did I went in and I did something I never did.
I went in. We had a buy. She gave me a whole list of stuff.
I went in and I got I got a first thing I did as I got a bag of peanuts.
I checked it the thing. I just started eating it. Then I was better for the rest of the time.
But there are but the thing is that if I you’re not filled up, you’re tempted by anything.
But if you’re filled up, even the even the good thing, even things that look really good, you’re not tempted anymore.
We have a choice. Start building up. You gotta any good food, start building up in your mind.
I had some green health drink I started doing, and it’s good for me.
I know it’s good for me. So I’m drinking it. And I’m saying, wow. This tastes like grass.
This tastes like grass from a lawn mower, but it’s good for me. So I start rejoicing.
I like grass from a lawn mower, freshly blended by the mower. It actually helps. It actually helps.
When you’re delighted, what is good, you get doubly blessed, double joy.
She’d be enough if you’d be enough just rejoice in God.
That’s that’s enough it is because you get when you’re rejoicing, you have joy.
That that’s a blessing right there, but then there’s more to it.
And He will give you the desires of your heart. Wow. I mean, wow.
I mean, It’s a double thing that you get.
It’s like, it’d be silly like if I suffer if I suffer it, okay.
I I put in a lot of stuff and I I get this reward. Okay.
That may that I can put in my regular mind, but But here it’s saying, delight.
You’re gonna have joy, and then you’re gonna get rewarded for the joy. That’s double. Double. That’s a win win.
Who doesn’t want that? Who doesn’t want to get the desires of their heart?
Nobody because you can’t because it’s the desire. It’s what you want. Desire of your heart.
And I’m not saying it doesn’t mean it’s not saying anything.
It’s not saying sin does our no, but the what is the desire of your heart?
The desire of your heart ultimately is god and the things of god, ultimately.
And there may be a lot of things that are of god.
But, you know, but but don’t do this. Don’t do it this way. Don’t say Okay. I want that.
So, therefore, lord, I’m rejoicing in you. I’m rejoicing. Okay. Did I get it yet? Did I get it yet?
You know, did I get it? God is great. God is great. Do I have it yet?
And that’s then then you’re then you’re not really rejoicing.
Then then god becomes a means to an end, which a lot of people preach, a lot in pros in a lot of prosperity preaching.
I’m not saying it becomes that. God’s a means to an end. No.
If god’s a means to an end, you know, I mean, you’re not really rejoicing in god first.
Imagine if, you know, somebody, you know, you’re in a marriage and somebody somebody is only in the marriage with you to get something else.
You’re not gonna be happy about that. God’s not happy about that either. When believers do that to him.
God doesn’t want that covenant. See, we think the desire of heart is that thing.
The point is the desire beyond all desires is first him and the things of him.
You know, we think we get to do the first part. We get the second part. No. No. No.
Delight yourself. And, lord, if you got nothing else, that’s enough.
And you’re gonna but then by doing it, you’re gonna get the desires of your heart.
You know, so when I said, finally, you know, you know, with marriage, I finally said, okay, lord, if I never get married.
I’m fine. Guess what happened. That year is when it came. That’s the way it happens.
I’m not in and doesn’t have to didn’t have to come. It’s okay.
I had to get to that point regardless because he learned that the desire is him first.
And then you will definitely get the desire of your heart You know, we say make the lord lord.
You know, lord is lord, but when when does it all come together when you make the lord who is lord lord of your life?
Then it’s right because the lord is the lord of your life. Make god.
I’m gonna make god the king of my life. Well, he’s the king anyway.
So when you make king of him king of your life, then it’s right because the king is now king of your life, then it’s right.
But god is also joy.
It’s just as important as making him the lord your life and the king of your life make him the joy of your life.
Delight yourself over the one who is the delight.

You don’t have to feel like anything. It doesn’t say feel like it. It says delight yourself. Choose it.
And the more you do it as you do it, it’s gonna come. May take time, but it’s gonna come.
And on the top of that blessing, he will give you what in Hebrew, the word is Mishala.
Try it. He will give you the Mishala. That only occurs one other place in the Bible.
In Psalm 25, verse 5, rather. 20 verse 5. It says we will rejoice in your salvation.
And it says, and says, then the lord will fulfill all your Mishala, your petition.
They’re in that way it’s translated petition. But because we were same thing.
We rejoice and then the Mishala gets filled up. Rejoice the lord.
Mishala means your desires, your requests, your petitions, of your he will give you the the the of your heart.
Hebrew lev. Try it lev easy. Means your heart He’ll give you the desires of your heart.
He’ll give you desires of your means feeling. Your even your emotions. Get filled up by god.
It means your mind, your mind will get filled up your will, your center of your being, the very center of your being.
It doesn’t say the petitions of everything you want. It says the petitions of your left, your heart.
Doesn’t say the petitions of your mouth, but your heart what you need, your deepest desires, your deepest need will get filled up in god, and that’s what you want.
You get blessed with delight then you get blessed with the desires being filled up. Double.
The one who rejoices in god and the good of god gets doubly blessed double joy. Conclusion.
Good news. This is good news. God actually wants you to be joyful.
It’s god’s will that you have joy. I mean, that’s good. It’s holy to have joy.
That means you can live a joyful life because it’s god’s will.
He will give you the power to do that. You gotta do it his way, though.
He will enable you to live a life. That is a life of joy.
You can have a heart of joy.
Doesn’t matter what your life has been like, but you gotta do it his way. Praise him.
It’s written, praise him at all times. Rejoice in the lord always continuously.
Delight yourself in the lord.
Joy is not a wish Not a not a it’s a command and it’s a choice.
Can you remember it this way? You want a wine? You won’t feel fine.
You wanna rejoice? You got the choice. Just start to delight, and it’s gonna be alright.
A little bit. Give me a little bit there. You can remember it that way.
See, that took me a lot of anointing to write that down.
People spend millions trying to be happy and they’re not.
And they and and the thing is you got the secret right here, and it’s guaranteed you can’t lose.
You can only win. The Hebrew means make merry over, act a light over him.
And and if you can handle this, the Hebrew also means have fun with him. Really?
Get happy over him. Sing to him. Write him a love letter. Praise him. Soak up his goodness.
Give thanks. Write down your blessings. Either way, you’re gonna be blessed. You’re gonna be happy.
Go for a walk with him today.
Begin your day delighting with him and your day with delighting with him and do it in the middle too.
Rejoice in the things of god.
Joyce in your blessings, rejoice in the answer of prayers, rejoice in his past deliverance of your life, rejoice in his providing, rejoice in having food, and shelter and clothing.
Rejoice in your loved ones. Rejoice in your blessings here. Rejoice in your salvation. You’re gonna have it.
That’s gonna help. Rejoice in God in your life.
And if you already rejoice, make it your goal to rejoice even more because the more you rejoice, the more blessed you are, and the more he will give you the desires of your heart.
The MIA tends that the joy of the lord is your strength. It’s your power.
The kingdom of god is righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Disciples were filled with joy. Good news.
God has appointed for you joy.
A life of joy happiness, delight, merry making, double blessing, double joy, but you gotta choose that joy, practice that joy, live that joy, delight yourself in the lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
And you will find it all along He is always was and always will be the desire of your heart.
