The Prophetic Countdown Has Begun – Darkness in America in Crisis!
Jonathan Cahn uncovers what most churches refuse to talk about: the return of the ancient gods, the revival we’ve been waiting for, and the battle you’re already in—whether you realize it or not.
Every book I’ve ever written ends with hope—because we are a people of hope. From the beginning, believers faced the powers of darkness, the principalities, and the false gods of their age. The first Christians fought this battle, and now the same war has returned. We are living in a spiritual war of the last days, and this connects directly to end-time prophecy.
What the Bible Says About the End Times
The Scriptures warn that the last days will be marked by deceiving spirits, people consumed with selfishness, and a lack of natural love. We see it all around us today: families breaking apart, truth being silenced, and the people of God being persecuted. Yet behind all of this is a great mystery. But the real question is this: What is our hope?
Breaking the Altars in Our Lives
This prophecy is not just global—it’s personal. Every one of us is being affected. What do we do? Think of Gideon. Before God used him to defeat the Midianites who worshiped Baal, Gideon first had to go to his own backyard and tear down the altar of Baal. In the same way, if we want victory, we must break down the idols in our own lives—whether it’s money, success, addictions, or secret sins. Repentance is the doorway to freedom and revival.
A Prophetic Sign of Hope in Our Time
One of my associate pastors once had a vision: he saw me preaching, and as the Word went forth, the altars of the gods shattered, and spirits fled from them. Without knowing my work, he confirmed what God was already revealing.
The greatest altar of our time has been to the god of Moloch—through abortion. On June 24, the day I finished The Return of the Gods, Roe v. Wade was overturned. The altar of abortion was broken in America. This was not coincidence—it was a prophetic sign. When God brings revival in the Bible, it’s not through crusades or big tents. It’s through the exposing of false gods and the breaking of their altars. For the first time in U.S. history, a colossal altar has been cracked open.
This is God’s encouragement to us: with Him, nothing is impossible. He hears our prayers. He is calling us to rise with new strength and courage. But revival depends on us. God promises in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people, who are called by My name, humble themselves and pray, seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.”
The Call to Revival
Without revival, America is finished. But with revival, there is still hope. That means we must pray, speak, and live revival every day. True revival begins in repentance.
For too long, believers have been on the defensive, feeling bombarded by the culture. But this is not new. The people of God throughout history stood against the gods of their age: Moses against Egypt, Elijah against Baal, Daniel against Babylon, Paul against Rome. And now, it’s our turn.
If you are born again, you are called to stand. The darker the darkness grows, the brighter the light of God must shine. When evil rises, God’s people must rise higher.
