Raise Your Expectations: Embrace God’s Promises with Unwavering Faith

As believers, it’s easy to settle for less than what God intends for us. Sometimes we struggle to expect more from God, doubting if His promises really apply to our lives today. Yet, Scripture is clear: we serve a limitless God, One who still works miracles, restores what has been lost, and delivers blessings beyond our understanding. In this article, we’ll break down what it really means to “raise your expectations” and step into a life fueled by genuine, bold faith. Let’s discover how you can live from faith to faith, experience His fullness, and never live below your inheritance again.

God’s Power Has No Limits

Let’s begin by asking ourselves the same powerful question Bill Winston poses: Is there anything too hard for the Lord? The answer is a resounding no. God specializes in the impossible. If He only moved within the realm of what we could manage or explain, He wouldn’t be God. We must never place limitations on the supernatural abilities of our Creator, nor accept anything less than His best. It’s time to align our words and our expectations with what God says, bravely declaring His promises over our lives.

Satan is a Negotiator—Don’t Allow Him to Rob You!

Too often, we fall into the enemy’s trap of negotiation. Just as Pharaoh tried to bargain with Moses about the Israelites’ freedom, Satan loves to convince believers to be content with less than promised. He might whisper, “You can be saved, but healing isn’t for you,” or “You’re forgiven, but you’ll have to live in lack.” Don’t settle! Remember, God doesn’t just want you saved; He offers a complete package—salvation with all its benefits.

God’s Supernatural Provision: Bread Comes With This!

Consider the story in Exodus 3, where God sent Moses to liberate His people from Egyptian bondage. God didn’t arm Moses with vast armies or legal resources—He gave him a staff and Aaron as his spokesman, reminding us that God’s ways are higher than man’s. Moses was empowered to confront Pharaoh with divine authority, refusing every compromise. Like Moses, we must refuse to let Satan talk us out of even one promise of God!

The Israelites didn’t just receive freedom; Psalm 105:37 tells us God led them out “with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among them.” They left with resources and health. With God, bread comes with the meal—meaning you get every benefit that comes with salvation: forgiveness, healing, provision, peace, restoration, and more.

Don’t Forget Your Benefits

Psalm 103 encourages us: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” The Lord forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. That’s all—not just the small stuff, but everything, even what you’ve never confessed to anyone. With God, your past is erased and your present is secure. Refuse to leave any of His promises on the table!

Expect the Supernatural—Your Faith Transfers Heaven to Earth

When you raise your expectations, the supernatural becomes your new normal. God declared to Moses that He would perform wonders in Egypt—acts of supernatural power that would force Pharaoh’s hand. As you trust with expectancy, God will “stretch out His hand” in your situation. Don’t just look for natural solutions when God is ready to display His supernatural glory in your life.

If you believe for favor, God will open doors that you couldn’t unlock by your own efforts. One moment of divine favor can accomplish more than a lifetime of striving.

Your Inheritance is Reserved—Now Claim It!

Scripture says we have an inheritance reserved in heaven (1 Peter 1:3-4)—but that doesn’t mean we have to wait for eternity to experience it. Jesus taught us to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” He desires for us to walk in heaven’s benefits right now, physically, spiritually, and even financially. Your healing, your provision, your restoration—they’re already prepared, waiting on your faith to access them!

You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made—Restoration is Your Birthright

Psalm 139 reveals that before you were born, God had your life and even your very structure planned out. Whatever you lack—physically or otherwise—He has already accounted for. In heaven, there is no shortage. If you need restoration, God has new parts ready for you. When Jesus walked the earth, the “maimed” were made whole: missing limbs restored, bodies completely healed. This wasn’t just a historical record; it’s an invitation for today!

Faith Is The Key: Speak and Receive

Faith is the original technology of God’s Kingdom. You don’t have to understand how it all works—just believe and speak God’s Word. Jesus said if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains. Your words carry power! When you boldly declare God’s promises, you activate heaven’s resources. Healing in your body, restoration in your family, breakthrough in your finances—it all responds to faith-filled speech.

Maybe you’ve suffered loss or sickness due to past mistakes or the simple wear-and-tear of life. God is not limited. If you smoked your lungs away, He can replace them. If your cartilage is worn, He can give you new knees. Speak to your body in faith, command restoration in the name of Jesus, and expect God to act!

Break Free from “Small Thinking”

The world might accept limits, but as a believer, you are called to a higher way of life. Stop asking, “Can God heal this
