Coping in Redemptive Ways | Christine Caine’s Life & Leadership Podcast | Dr. Rhiannon DuBois
When we take our focus off ourselves and instead pour into others, it can bring unexpected healing and strength. Hi friends, I’m Christine Kane, and you’re listening to the Life and Leadership Podcast, where we have inspiring conversations with faith-filled leaders from around the world.
Gratitude in Every Season
God, I have so much to be thankful for. Even in the midst of suffering, You are present. I see a new generation rising—one that is choosing consecration over deconstruction. As an ambassador of Christ, I represent another kingdom. My prayer is that our time together each week ignites your passion to fulfill your God-given purpose and follow Jesus wholeheartedly as you lead within your sphere of influence.

Meet Today’s Guest: Dr. Rhianna Dub
Now, I’m excited to introduce my dear friend and A21 co-worker, Dr. Rhianna Dub. She is a woman of wisdom, and I know you’re going to love her insights. Let’s jump in!
A Fun Australian Connection
One of my favorite people in the world—Rhianna, how are you?
Hi Chris! I’m great—how about you?
It’s awesome! And for my podcast listeners, you’re in for a treat today because you’re hearing two Aussies with our accents.
Oh, absolutely! And you’re from the “refined” part of Australia, right?
Ha! You must be joking—I’m from Queensland!
(For those who don’t know, there’s a bit of friendly rivalry between Queenslanders and people from New South Wales!)
A Journey to Global Leadership
Dr. Rhianna oversees all of A21’s global aftercare—a role that carries immense responsibility. But she didn’t just wake up one day in this position. Her journey has been one of faith and perseverance.
Rhianna, you’ve now settled in America and lead A21’s global aftercare efforts, but this wasn’t always your plan. Can you tell us about your journey?
Absolutely, Chris. If you had told me years ago that I’d be living in Texas, I never would have believed you! I grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Australia, where I spent most of my days by the beach. Now, I’m in Texas—where there are no beaches, just scorching heat, cowboy boots, and rodeos!
From Australia to Texas: A Calling in Action
Though Texas is far from my coastal roots, I actually grew up on a farm in the Australian Outback, so in some ways, I fit right in! I pursued a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland and later worked in private practice for nine years on the Sunshine Coast. Over time, our clinic grew significantly, and I stepped into a leadership role as Acting Clinical Director.
Alongside my professional journey, my faith played a huge role. After high school, I dedicated a year to Bible College through my church’s “Give God a Year” initiative. Chris, I still remember when you used to come and preach at my youth ministry—it’s amazing to reflect on how God has woven our paths together!
Leadership, Purpose, and Impact
As I stepped into leadership, God continued to shape my calling. I eventually transitioned from private practice to global advocacy, bringing my expertise to A21’s mission. My heart is for justice and restoration, and I’m honored to serve survivors worldwide.
Stay tuned—there’s so much more to share in this conversation!
