Midnight Miracles: Trusting God’s Timing
Take a moment to reflect on this powerful story. If you’re in a season where nothing seems to be happening—an 11:59 moment—I want to encourage you: keep moving in the right direction. When doors remain closed, keep praying, keep praising, and stay faithful.
Even the great apostles faced moments of waiting. In Acts 16:6, Paul tried to go to Asia, but the Holy Spirit forbade him. Have you ever done your best to move forward, only to find a divine stop sign? What God did with Paul teaches us an important lesson: when God closes a door, it’s always for our good. If something hasn’t happened yet, trust that it’s working in your favor.
Paul didn’t walk directly into God’s will—he backed into it. He thought he was supposed to go one way, but God said, not yet. Remember, a closed door is just as much a part of God’s plan as an open one. If you’re waiting for God’s will to unfold, don’t lose heart—His timing is perfect. You may be at 11:59, but midnight is coming. Miracles are on the way!
If you’re in a holding season, don’t stop praying, don’t stop praising, and don’t stop moving in the right direction. Just four verses later, Paul received a vision—God revealed a man in Macedonia asking for help. When Paul arrived, however, he didn’t find a man—he found a group of women praying by the river. Things didn’t look like the vision, but God was still at work.
Then, opposition came. A demon-possessed woman, a fortune teller, began following Paul. But he cast the spirit out in Jesus’ name. This teaches us that even when you’re in the center of God’s will, it won’t always be easy. Some assume that when God leads, everything will fall into place effortlessly. But sometimes, you can be right where God wants you to be and still face battles.
Paul’s vision showed a man, but he encountered praying women instead. He expected open doors, but first, he faced spiritual opposition. If you’re waiting on God’s promise and facing resistance, don’t be discouraged!
Stay away from fortune tellers, psychics, and anything that tries to replace God’s guidance. The Holy Spirit is our leader, and He directs our steps in perfect timing. If God has closed a door, praise Him in your 11:59, because at 12:00, the door will open—right on time!
Somebody give God praise—His timing is always perfect!
