Todd White Daily Devotional – October 12, 2026: Burning With First-Love Fire

If your heart has been feeling a little tired, distracted, or even disappointed lately, this devotional is for you. God has not forgotten you, and He has not changed His mind about your life. Today, as we lean into the presence of the Holy Spirit, let the Lord rekindle a fresh, childlike, fearless faith inside you. You were never meant to live a dull, half-awake Christian life. You were created to burn with the love of Jesus, to carry His presence into your home, your job, your neighborhood, and every space in between. Right now, where you are, God is inviting you out of heaviness and back into the joy of fully trusting Him.

Anchored in Unshakable Truth

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7, ESV) This verse is more than a nice Christian slogan; it is a clear description of what God has already placed inside every believer. Fear is not your inheritance. Intimidation is not your personality. The Holy Spirit in you is power, love, and a sound, disciplined mind. When anxiety, shame, or insecurity speak loudly, they are lying about who you are in Christ. Today, God is calling you to agree with His Word more than with your feelings. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, and He is fully able to carry you through whatever you are facing.

Living Boldly in Ordinary Moments

Walking with Jesus is not just for church services or conferences. It’s for the rush hour traffic, the office hallway, the kitchen sink, and the late-night wrestling of your thoughts. The Lord wants to meet you in your regular Monday, not only in your Sunday morning. Take a moment and imagine inviting Him into every small decision: the way you answer a difficult email, how you respond to your spouse, the patience you show your kids, the grace you extend to yourself. The more you practice turning your heart toward Him in simple, everyday choices, the more you’ll notice your faith becoming active, not passive. Your life becomes a living testimony that Jesus is real, kind, and powerful.

Lord, Increase My Faith

Father, in the name of Jesus, I ask You to ignite fresh faith in my heart today. Where unbelief has crept in, drive it out with Your truth. I surrender my doubts, my questions, and my fears to You. Holy Spirit, train my mind to agree with what You say instead of what I see. Teach me to hunger for Your Word and to trust You when I don’t understand the timing or the process. Grow my spiritual roots deep so that when the wind of trials blows, I stand firm and do not break. Remind me that my faith is not in my own strength but in Your unshakable character. Jesus, be the center of my thoughts, my plans, and my desires today and every day.

Grace Over My Home

Lord, I lift up my family and every relationship connected to my life. Cover my home with Your peace and presence. Where there has been tension, bring healing. Where there has been silence, open honest and loving communication. Protect the hearts of my children, my spouse, and my loved ones from confusion and hurt. Help us forgive quickly and love deeply. Let our home be a refuge from the noise of the world, a place where Your name is honored and Your goodness is celebrated. Restore broken relationships, reconcile what has been divided, and knit us together in unity through the love of Christ.

Healing in Body, Soul, and Mind

Jesus, You are the Healer, yesterday, today, and forever. I invite Your healing power into my body, my emotions, and my mind. Touch areas of pain, sickness, and weakness. Bring alignment to every system in my body and peace to every storm in my thoughts. Heal wounds from past disappointments and trauma. Replace exhaustion with supernatural strength, anxiety with Your perfect peace, and heaviness with the oil of gladness. Help me to steward my health with wisdom, rest, and discipline, while trusting You as my ultimate source of wholeness. I declare that by Your stripes, I am healed, and my body and soul belong to You.
