The Signs Of Armageddon | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
The Signs Of Armageddon
Right now in Israel, preparations are underway for something that once seemed impossible: the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. Dedicated societies have already reconstructed sacred temple vessels and are actively training a new generation of temple priests. This isn’t mere symbolism—this movement centers around the most hotly contested land on Earth: the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
Why the Temple Mount Matters to the World
This sacred site is not just the focus of geopolitical tension—it’s the most spiritually significant piece of ground in the world. What happens here has the power to ignite a global conflict. In fact, the Book of Revelation warns us about a final gathering of the nations in a place called Armageddon, located in Israel. Revelation 16 declares: “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.”
Biblical Prophecy Aligns with Current Events
The prophet Zechariah foretold a time when the nations of the earth would come against Israel and seek to control Jerusalem. That prophecy would have seemed impossible centuries ago—during the Middle Ages or even the early 20th century. Back then, the Jewish people were scattered and the land was under foreign rule.
But everything changed in 1948 with the rebirth of the nation of Israel, and again in 1967 when Jerusalem came under Israeli control. Now, for the first time in 2,000 years, the Temple Mount is not only back in the conversation—it’s at the center of global controversy.
The World’s Obsession with Israel: A Spiritual War
Why is such a small nation the focus of so much hatred and obsession? From waves of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic sentiment to United Nations condemnations, we’re witnessing the fulfillment of ancient prophecies. The irrational rage isn’t political—it’s spiritual. It’s demonic in nature, rooted in the oldest hatred in the world.
Revelation and the Future Temple
Revelation 11 speaks of a temple being measured, excluding the outer court because it has been “given to the Gentiles.” This refers to the Temple in Jerusalem and implies the presence of Jewish worshipers once again on the Temple Mount. For centuries, this was unthinkable. But today, that reality is drawing closer.
Despite opposition and international resistance—even from the UN, which refuses to acknowledge the Temple Mount by its biblical name—there is growing momentum toward rebuilding the Temple. While such a monumental task may require a massive global event to trigger it, prophecy guarantees it will happen.
