T.D. Jakes Daily Devotional May 31, 2026
If you feel like you’re standing in between where you’ve been and where you’re going, this devotional is for you. Maybe you’re not where you used to be, but you’re also not yet where you hoped to be by now. That “middle place” can feel confusing, lonely, and even disappointing. Yet it is often in this in‑between season that God does His deepest work in us. Today, allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart, steady your emotions, and remind you that God has not forgotten you. He is shaping you, strengthening you, and preparing you for what’s next. You are not stuck; you are being positioned.
Anchored by a Promise
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6, NKJV) This verse reminds you that God doesn’t start projects He has no intention of finishing. The work He began in your heart, your calling, your family, and your destiny is not abandoned. Even when you cannot trace His hand, you can trust His heart. The delays are not denials; they are often divine development. Paul’s confidence wasn’t in his own strength but in God’s faithfulness. Today, let this be your confidence as well: the same God who saved you is still working, still building, and still writing your story.
Growing in the Middle of Uncertainty
The middle seasons test what we really believe about God. It is easy to praise Him when doors swing open, but real faith is formed when nothing seems to move. In these moments, God invites you to shift your focus from outcomes to obedience. You may not control the timing, but you can control your posture. Choose to worship instead of worry. Decide to speak what God has said rather than what fear suggests. Make space each day for His presence—turn off the noise, open your Bible, and whisper, “Lord, I’m listening.” As you do, your roots go deeper, your discernment sharpens, and your heart learns to rest even before the breakthrough arrives.
Prayer for Faith and Spiritual Depth
Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring my faith before You today. Some days it feels strong, and other days it feels fragile, but I place it in Your hands. Strengthen my trust in who You are, not just in what You do. Pull me closer to Your heart. Teach me to love Your Word, to recognize Your voice, and to follow Your leading, even when I don’t fully understand the path. Break every agreement I have made with fear, doubt, and shame. Fill me with the Holy Spirit afresh. Let my faith mature, my hope rise, and my spirit grow steady. Use every pressure and every problem to push me deeper into You, not away from You. I surrender my plans, my timeline, and my expectations, and I choose to believe that You are good and that You are for me.
Covering Our Homes with Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Step into every room of my home and fill it with Your peace. Heal unspoken hurts and unhealed memories. Where there has been tension, bring understanding. Where there has been distance, create new closeness. Cover marriages with grace and honesty. Guard our children’s hearts, minds, and identities. Protect our loved ones who are far away and those who feel alone. Let forgiveness flow where there has been offense. Give us wisdom in our conversations, patience in our disagreements, and tenderness in our daily interactions. Make our homes places where Your presence is welcome and where Your love is felt in practical, everyday ways.
Strength for Body, Mind, and Soul
Heavenly Father, I bring my health before You today. You see every diagnosis, every secret fear, every ache, and every unspoken concern. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals. Touch my body—regulate what is out of balance, restore what is damaged, and strengthen what is weak. Calm my anxious thoughts and soothe my emotions. Where I am weary, breathe new energy into me. Help me make wise choices about rest, food, exercise, and stress. Heal emotional wounds and traumatic memories that still shape how I think and feel. Let Your peace settle over my mind like a warm blanket and Your joy rise within me like a fresh wind. I receive Your strength today—physically
