Steven Furtick Daily Devotional – October 15, 2026

If your heart feels a little heavy today, you are not alone. Maybe you woke up with worries already talking to you about your family, your health, your future, or that situation you still can’t see a way out of. Right here, in this ordinary day on the calendar, God is inviting you to pause, breathe, and remember that He has not stepped off the throne or out of your story. This is not just another Thursday; this is a day the Lord has made for you to encounter His hope, His presence, and His power in a fresh way. As you read and pray through this devotional, let your faith rise again. God is closer than you feel, stronger than what you fear, and more faithful than anything you’ve ever faced.

Anchored by a Promise

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14, NIV) The Israelites were trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh’s army, with no visible way out. God didn’t ask them to figure it out; He asked them to stand still and trust Him. This verse is not an invitation to passivity; it’s an invitation to confidence—confidence that the God who brought you this far will not abandon you now. Being “still” means letting God have the final word over your anxiety, your diagnosis, your bank account, and your fears. Today, God is fighting battles you don’t even see. Your job is not to panic; your job is to believe.

Living Boldly in Today’s Battles

There’s a spiritual tug-of-war going on in your heart every single day. One side pulls you toward worst-case scenarios, comparison, and discouragement. The other side—God’s side—pulls you toward trust, courage, and supernatural peace. You get to choose which voice you lean into. When the pressure rises at work, whisper, “The Lord will fight for me.” When your kids are acting out or the marriage feels strained, remind your soul, “God is not finished with this family.” When your mind spirals late at night, say out loud, “Jesus, I give this battle back to You.” Little faith-filled decisions like these shift your focus from the size of the problem to the size of your God. Spiritual growth doesn’t usually happen in one big moment; it grows in a hundred small moments of choosing to trust.

Drawing Closer in Faith

Father, today I choose to lean into You instead of my fears. Strengthen my faith where it feels thin and fragile. Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight, especially when what I see doesn’t line up with what You’ve promised. Grow in me a hunger for Your Word so that my faith is rooted in truth, not in my emotions. Help me surrender the outcomes I can’t control and rest in the truth that You are working all things together for my good. I ask for a fresh awareness of Your presence, that I would sense Your Spirit leading, comforting, and correcting me throughout this day. Transform my doubts into deeper dependence on You, and let my trust in You become my testimony.

Grace Over Our Homes

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones to You right now. Cover our home with Your peace that passes all understanding. Heal old wounds, rebuild broken trust, and soften hardened hearts. Where there is tension, bring understanding; where there is distance, restore connection; where there is fear, release perfect love. Protect our marriages, strengthen single parents, and surround our children with godly influences and wise friendships. Let our home be a place where Your name is honored, where forgiveness is normal, and where encouragement flows freely. Guard our conversations, our phones, our screens, and everything that enters our doors. Make our family a living testimony of Your grace.

Healing for Body and Soul

Jesus, You are still the Healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions to You. For every place of pain, bring relief. For every diagnosis, release wisdom, strength, and, if it be Your will, miraculous healing. Calm anxious thoughts and lift the heavy cloud of depression and fatigue. Give me the discipline to care for my body—rest, movement, and healthy choices—and the humility to ask for help when I need it. Renew my mind with Your truth; silence the lies that say I’m not enough, I’ll never change, or I’m too broken. Replace them with Your promises of wholeness, purpose, and new beginnings
