Paul Washer Daily Devotional – October 10, 2026

This morning, the Lord meets you exactly where you are. Whether you woke up with a heavy heart, a cluttered mind, or a quiet joy, God has not changed. He is still holy, still sovereign, and still deeply committed to finishing the good work He began in you. Voices in our world, and even within some churches, may call you to an easy, comfortable religion. Yet teachers like Paul Washer have reminded many of us that real Christianity is not casual—it is a daily surrender, a living relationship with a living Christ. Today’s devotional is an invitation to draw close to Jesus, to rest in His grace, and to walk in sincere, wholehearted faith.

Rooted in Truth, Strengthened by Grace

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NKJV)

This verse shatters the idea that Christianity is just an add-on to an already busy life. In Christ, your old self—your guilt, your shame, your striving—has been crucified. The life you now live is not powered by willpower or religious performance, but by faith in the One who loved you to the point of death on a cross. Paul Washer often emphasizes that a true Christian life is marked by a transformed heart and growing holiness, not mere external religion. Galatians 2:20 reminds you that transformation is possible because Christ Himself lives in you. You are not alone. You are not abandoned. The Son of God loves you personally and gave Himself for you so that today, in every ordinary moment, you might live by faith in Him.

Living an Honest, Undivided Faith Today

In a culture that prizes comfort and convenience, you are called to something deeper: an authentic walk with God. That doesn’t mean trying to look “super spiritual.” It means bringing your real fears, temptations, and questions to the Lord and letting His Word expose and heal your heart. Today, choose one area where you’ve been living half-heartedly—perhaps your thought life, entertainment choices, or the way you speak when you’re frustrated—and invite the Holy Spirit to take full ownership. Open your Bible, even if only for a few minutes, and linger over a verse until it grips you. Speak truth out loud: “Jesus, my life is Yours.” As you drive, work, or do chores, keep turning your thoughts toward Him. Genuine Christianity is not just Sunday emotion; it is Monday obedience, Tuesday repentance, Wednesday perseverance, and daily dependence on Christ.

Drawing Near in Faith and Surrender

Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You acknowledging my need for You. Deepen my faith today. Strip away every pretense, every shallow habit of religion, and lead me into real fellowship with You. Teach me to delight in Your holiness rather than fear it from a distance. I surrender my plans, my fears, and my secret struggles. Holy Spirit, renew my mind so that my desires, thoughts, and decisions honor Christ. Grow in me a faith that endures trials, resists compromise, and finds joy in Your will. May my love for You today be sincere, not forced; may my obedience be willing, not grudging. I trust You to complete the work You have started in me, for Your glory and my eternal good. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Covering Your Home in God’s Peace

Lord, I lift my family and loved ones before You. Bring Your peace into our home and our relationships. Heal misunderstandings, soften hard hearts, and restore any broken places between us. Guard our conversations so that our words build up instead of wound. Teach us to forgive quickly and to ask forgiveness humbly. For spouses, children, parents, and friends, I ask for unity that is rooted in Christ. May our home be a small reflection of Your kingdom—a place of prayer, kindness, and truth. Protect our marriages, strengthen our bonds, and let Your presence be felt in every room. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Praying for Health, Strength, and Healing

Gracious Healer, I place my body, mind, and emotions in Your hands. You know every symptom, every diagnosis, and every hidden ache. I ask for Your healing touch where there is sickness, pain, or weakness
