Andrew Wommack Daily Devotional – October 16, 2026: Standing Steady in a Shaking World
Some mornings you wake up and feel like the ground under your feet keeps shifting. News headlines, personal struggles, family pressures, and hidden fears can make your heart feel fragile. Yet right now, in this very moment, the Lord is inviting you to anchor your soul in His unshakable Word. As you join in this devotional, you are not reading by accident—God sees you, knows what you are facing, and is drawing you closer to His heart. Today, let the Holy Spirit use these words to steady your thoughts, quiet your emotions, and remind you that in Christ you are never alone and never without hope.
Rooted in a Living Promise
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, NKJV) In a world that constantly changes, this verse is a rock under your feet. The same Jesus who healed the sick, calmed storms, forgave sinners, and loved the broken is the Jesus who lives in you today. His character has not shifted with culture. His power has not weakened with time. His compassion has not grown cold because of your failures. When fear whispers, “What if everything falls apart?” this verse answers, “Jesus never does.” Today, you can build your decisions, your expectations, and your prayers on a Savior who is eternally faithful and forever good.
Living By Faith When Feelings Wobble
Faith is not pretending everything is fine; faith is choosing to trust God when everything screams that it is not. You might be battling anxiety about your kids, uncertainty about your job, or frustration with your own weaknesses. Instead of trying to “fix” yourself by sheer willpower, turn your heart toward Jesus and say, “Lord, I choose to believe what You say above what I feel.” Feed your faith with Scripture, even if it’s just one verse you repeat during the day. Take small steps of obedience: apologize when the Holy Spirit nudges you, speak kindly when you want to snap, give thanks when you feel like complaining. These simple acts of trust open the door for God’s grace to flow through your life in very real, practical ways.
Drawing Near in Faith and Spiritual Growth
Father, in Jesus’ name, I bring my heart to You today. I choose to trust that You are working in me both to will and to do of Your good pleasure. Strengthen my faith to see beyond what my eyes perceive. Holy Spirit, teach me to hear Your voice more clearly, to love Your Word more deeply, and to obey You more quickly. Pull up the roots of doubt, offense, and unbelief, and replace them with confidence in Your goodness. Help me to grow—not just in head knowledge—but in real, daily intimacy with You. Let the fruit of the Spirit show up in my thoughts, my words, and my reactions, so that those around me can see Jesus in me.
Covering Our Homes With God’s Peace
Lord, I lift my family and loved ones before You. Reach every heart in my home with Your love and truth. Heal broken communication, soften hard places, and restore what the enemy has tried to steal. Bring unity where there has been division, tenderness where there has been distance, and forgiveness where there has been hurt. Surround my children, spouse, relatives, and friends with Your protection and favor. Let our home be filled with Your peace—a refuge from fear and confusion. May the atmosphere of our house reflect heaven: joy, grace, laughter, patience, and unconditional love.
Health, Healing, and Inner Strength
Jesus, You are my healer. I bring my body, mind, and emotions to You. Where there is sickness, pain, or weakness, release Your healing power. Strengthen my immune system, restore every organ, and renew my energy. Calm anxious thoughts and break the grip of worry, depression, and stress. Fill my heart with Your perfect peace that passes understanding. Teach me to care for this body You gave me—with rest, wise choices, and self-control. Let every part of me align with Your will, and let my life testify that You are still Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals.
Work, Finances, and Daily Provision
Father, You are my source— not my paycheck, not the economy, not other people. I commit my work, business, studies, and financial needs to You. Give me wisdom to make sound decisions
